Um...am I the only one who noticed that John Bolton's name wasn't mentioned ANYWHERE other than in the title? He's not in the article at all. Hmm...misleading, much?

Click on the link. This is only the first page of the article.

The “Mormon Temple” does not get involved in politics. The church is pretty good about being neutral in that regard.

There is no evidence Romney is lying about his positions. But if it makes you feel better.

Rudy had to “clarify” his statements about his relationship with Kerik after it was revealed that his under-oath testimony differed from what he said publicly.

Rudy said the words “til death do us part” twice to women that are not dead but are parted.

Rudy snuck around lying about who he was sleeping with.

But he’s honest enough for a politician.

Romney didn’t lie about the NRA, nor did he lie about hunting.

But again, if you have to make up things about Rudy’s opponents in order to make Rudy more palatable, go right ahead.

I gotta wonder how the elders feel about Harry Reid referring to the Pope as the final authority on Iraq the other day (yes, I'm paraphrasing) but he did imply it.

Bolton was for sale? Why wasn’t I told? What is this you are talking?

You didn't go to the actual article and flip to page three, where you find that Bolton and Keane are NOT advising Rudy, but instead: Asked about his day-to-day Iraq advisor, his campaign would only say that he speaks with many individuals, including retired Gen. Jack Keane and former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton.

“Seriously though, I do think certain anti-Rudy types think Rudy is too beholden to the “neocons” (wink wink) who are for “perpetual war” - and Bolton is part of
that “cabal.”

I thnk that a few anti-Rudy types think that neocons are Jews who want to rule the world - not out of sympathy with the Islamofascists, but from their own narrow provincial views.

It was also not clear to me that Bolton is supporting Rudy. If he is, that would be a plus on Rudy’s side.

Sorry! The anti-rudy-bots are so vitriolic and single-issue that it’s difficult to detect sarcasm. Your post is too close to what they say, in fact you’ve probably already gotten posts cheering you on.

OK, this is pretty funny. Two posts after this one you note the information is on page three, but in THIS post you say:

Its not misleading. Its in the title and that’s where it is mentioned. I didn’t make it up.

It's almost as if YOU didn't realise there was two more pages of the article when you posted it. (which is why you didn't say you were excerpting?)

Asked about his day-to-day Iraq advisor, his campaign would only say that he speaks with many individuals, including retired Gen. Jack Keane and former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton.

Once again a tactic of the Rudroid. It says he has an adviser on Iraq. It lists Bolton as one of the individuals his campaign speaks to. It does not say he is an advisor to the campaign for Rudy. It says his campaign speaks with individuals knowledgeable about Iraq. Maybe more candidates than Rudy, also talk to the same people

So it is misleading, even if you are not the one responsible for the headline.

Do you have anything better to do today but pick on my mistake of excerpting this article? You guys are so freaking jealous of Rudy that you can’t stand he even be advised by Bolton so you have to make it seem like I was making it Up!

Giving “advice” is not the same as “advising”. You are politically astute enough to know the difference between a person prividing counsel to all comers, and a person being “an advisor to” a candidate.

I wouldn’t be surprised if other candidates have talked with Bolton as well, nor would I be surprised that Bolton was giving “advice” to Rudy or others. I’m just saying that “advising” has a connotation.

You can see that in the comments to your article, where people assumed, and Rudy supporters encouraged the assumption, that Bolton was “an advisor to”, and therefore “supporting” Rudy for President.

When people are misled, and supporters encourage it, that makes it seem like the misleading is being done deliberately, and with a purpose.

Hey, you even had Rudy supporters drumming up the notion that anti-Rudy people were attacking Bolton. That’s another common Rudyite Tactic, to come onto a thread and post that the anti-rudy people “are GOING to” attack the messenger. Then other Rudyites come to agree, and to decry how the thread has now become so negative with all the talk of attacks against people, when all the discussion about attacks are by the pro-Rudy people.

And by the way - I never said Bolton was on Rudy’s team or ws endorsing him. That was another’s freeper’s comment. I said he is being advised by Bolton and General Keane. Nothing wrong about what I said they are two people among others who are advising Rudy.
