Hey, I was on YOUR side about it. I saw Bolton’s name missing from the part you posted, but I went to the original, found the page where it was, and posted it. And when I read comments from others that it wasn’t there, I corrected them.
I was just ribbing you for your OWN post which sounded like you hadn’t read your own article completely before posting. Since you had just chided someone else for that, I thought it was funny. I do try to lighten up these threads, you know.
I came to the same conclusion. Many candidates probably talk to the same individuals.
A chronic Rudroid tactic.
FINE! You guys take it they way you want to because anything about Rudy that is positive you guys have to make sure you spoil otherwise you are not happy. I give up on you two.

"Mr. Romney has spent much of the past two years trying to calm concerns among conservatives about his views on such issues as abortion rights; as a younger man, he supported abortion rights, but now opposes them. Similarly, running for the United States Senate in Massachusetts, he pledged to be an all-out advocate for gay rights; a large part of his appeal to conservatives has been campaigning against gay marriage."
There is plenty of evidence that Romney has "flip-flopped" several times on important issues to conservatives. The latest flap is his "life long hunter" lie. It turns out he is not a life long hunter and has not been a life long gun owner. He joined the NRA just last year for the first time in his life. I think he's counting on gullible Republicans. I am not one.
Ummmm Read Post #20.
How did we get past fifty posts without Rudy in a dress, Rudy RINO trading cards, Spiff’s Spam Chart posted by narses, a reposting of a JimRob comment misused to intimidate Rudy supporters and a threat to sit out the election or vote third party? Has the anti-Rudy caucus grown tired of reposting the same drivel at last?
It says his campaign talks to these individuals.
You use words that change the meaning of what was actually the truth, to lead people to a conclusion about the article that you wish people to believe.
Not what was actually stated in the article.
No problem—I should have used the sarc tag. It does get absurd around here from time to time. I used to direct friends here to read the good discussions and to register and participate but I don’t anymore.
Could you have come up with a more deceptive headline? Nice try, though.
Oh they will be here. Right now some are on the Rudy fundraising thread. They have been alerted already by a Freeper here as you can see on one of the posts. They always need reinforcements.
It is okay that his campaign talks to these people. In fact its good.
It is the misleading change of words that is objectionable.
Words do mean something, they can change perspective by being applied in different ways.
Oh puleeze did you read page three of the article? I guess not !
Okay you know what since you guys have to be like that I will ask the Admin Moderator to delete this post.
First, the post. Complete with a misleading addition to the title, suggesting that Keane and Bolton are "advising" Rudy, which will be interpreted as being "advisors" and therefore "supporters".
Then, Rudy sympathisers post negative things as if they are being said by anti-Rudy people. For example:
M. Thatcher: "Obviously, Bolton is a treasonous liberal."
babaloo: "It is Boltons stance on abortion that is key here. Anyone know what that is? Is he a gun grabber?" (that was funny, I thought)
M. Thatcher: "The FReepers who support this liberal at a conservative forum should be ashamed of themselves, but since they are too dumb to be ashamed they need to be humiliated, slapped around and purged instead. (yes, really said at one time by an anti-rudy person, but NOT on this thread
areafiftyone: "Dont you just feel the love?" (remember, at this point all the negative comments are from rudy people)
veronica: "Seriously though, I do think certain anti-Rudy types think Rudy is too beholden to the "neocons" (wink wink) who are for "perpetual war" - and Bolton is part of that "cabal.""(remember, nobody has said ANYTHING bad about Bolton to this point, except Rudy people).
areafiftyone: "Obviously, Bolton is a treasonous liberal. Rudy could exhume Ronald Reagans corpse, reanimate it and have the gipper campaign for him, and I still would not vote for Rudi". (This was particularly cunning. The first part about Bolton was NOT written by the person being quoted, but by M. Thatcher. The person was responding to M' Thatcher with the 2nd comment, and areafiftyone makes it look like the anti-rudy person said the bad thing about Bolton.)
twonie: "Bolton was for sale? Why wasnt I told? What is this you are talking?" (this in response to a post that did NOT say Bolton was for sale).
Meanwhile, some people were obviously mislead by the title and think Bolton is in Rudy's camp:
bahbah: "Good for Rudi having Bolton on board"
dfwgator: "If Bolton is backing Rudy, then thats a big win for Rudy in my book."
twonie: "Big win for Rudy - EGG-ZACKLY!!" (this is a Rudy supporter perpetuating the error that Bolton is backing Rudy)
Yes, I read page three which has a passing reference to the Giuliani campaign speaking with Keane and Bolton. Unlike your headline which makes it appear that they are advisors to the Giuliani campaign.
Only other pro-rudy people perpetuating the myth that anti-rudy people are attacking Bolton.
The headline did not say Bolton was advising Rudy. It had Bolton’s name in the subtitle. The poster put in the parenthetical about Bolton and Keane “advising” Rudy, which was misleading to some commenters.
My My My you are working overtime! I already asked the Admin Modrator to delete this thread.
But you didn’t correct twonie when he repeated it, or the other two commenters who said it.
See Post #20 - He’s not a Rudy Person. He called Bolton a Liberal.
