Keith Olbermann tried to blame President Bush and the Republican Congress for yesterday’s massacre because they “allowed” a ban on 9mm clips like the one used to murder 32 people to expire.

Olbermann is scary!

CLIPS

9mm magazines

Chris Matthews and Bob Shrum were pushing more gun control on Hardball too

Yes, I remember that after Jack The Ripper struck, I didn't see any Ginzu ads for many, many years.

” Chris Matthews and Bob Shrum were pushing more gun control on Hardball too. Citing the clips (mags).”

The liberals don’t want to face the truth.
Their gun control worked- students weren’t suddenly pulling out firearms to stop this maniac.
All the guns on campus were controlled-except for one, the killer’s.
The elephant in the room, the control that must be talked about-is control of the mentally ill.
Cho was a ticking time bomb-he could have just as easily plowed his car into a crowd or set a huge fire with a concomitant death toll.

MSNBC on-air personality Keith Olbermann was spotted Friday night outside the "Cock Pit", his favorite bar, in a heated discussion with his Sorority Sisters about personal lubricant.

That’s what I’ve chosen to do. Not watch as long as he’s there.

This is a joke, right?

I expect this from dailykos, not from anyone who’s (supposedly) sane enough to be in the mainstream media.

I guess it isn’t.

Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, and it will be George W. Bush’s fault.

The Liberals could care less even if it was a one round shooting gun, it's a agenda they are pushing, not protecting people, that is their cover to use to push their agenda.
It's the same way and same thing with all that we value here in America, slowly erode , slowly chip away, and America will fall from with in it's core.
That is how they attack the Christian church in America , slowly chip away at it and eventually it will fall from with in it's core.

A ‘clip’ holds cartridges that are then used to load a magazine (like an M1 Garand) a magazine can either be external like the 9mm and any other semi-auto 1911 style handgun (notable exception is the ‘broom handle Mauser which had an internal magazine and could be loaded using stripper clips) and many rifles like AK, SKS, AR15, M16 etc.

No, his numbers are much much lower than that. Take heart, there is a bottom to the public’s tolerance for idiots. Rosie is almost there.

You know, I am so sickened by the ghoulishness of both friend and foe alike in this matter.

Both sides of the gun control issue have leapt forward to further their agendas (and I say this as a guy who despises almost all gun control laws). Good grief, the bodies aren't even cold yet.

Can we at least wait until the dead are laid to rest before we start blaming people or policies?

And the Drive By Media has once again demonstrated by "instant analysis" is an oxymoron. [And yes, Keith Olbermann is must a plain moron.]

Olbermann apparantly didn't realize that the VT Board of Visitors is made up primarily of members appointed by Virginia's last two far-left extremist Democrat governors ~ Mark Warner and Tim Kaine ~

They, and their party, bear all the responsibility for the lack of safety on the VT campus that allowed a madman to run wild without effective challenge until he ran out of victims.

Keith has his share of responsibility for this blood bath and should not be excused just because he's a "newsie" who hates Mexicans.

Sorry....

I've a motto...."People will never fail to disappoint you"......

There will always be plenty of people to believe the Rosie's, the Jerry's, the Katy's, the Tom's, the Hillary's, the Jesse's..........

Funny thing I hate that "word" always....but it fits here.

I know I was trying to say something encouraging. After all Obermann’s audience is really small, mostly people who are stuck in airports and hospital waiting rooms.

Was it intentional, that the breaking news was that NBC learned from ATF that gunman was not VT student? Is it Olbermann or NBC making this stuff up?

“The regular 16 or 17 shot mags of a Glock or other 9mm were never affected.”

Nope they were. Back in 1998 I purchased a 9mm semiauto pistol and it only came with 10 round clips. That is the only thing they were allowed to sell to “civilians.” The same gun store had a case of pistols, one identical to the one I purchased. The pistols in that case had 15 plus rounds clips. I asked why they had this special case and said I wanted to buy one of them. They told me only a state licensed “peace officer” (AKA police, sheriff deputy, etc.) could buy pistol that came with clips holding more than 10 rounds. It was, I was told, because the the Clinton gun laws.

Now that being said, I thought it was rather stupid. At that time I was doing work as a licensed “armed” private investigator. To be licensed I had to attend the same shooting classes a peace officer did. I was a fair marksman, and only having a 10 round clip would not slow me down in using the pistol on a “combat” style shooting range. It doesn’t require much skill to quickly change clips. The only reason I wanted 15 round clips was so that I could load them with 10 rounds without overcompressing the spring and could leave the clip loaded at all times.

For that matter, I got pretty fast at reloading even a revolver using a speed loader. The hard truth is that someone intent on killing many people will find a way. Banning high capacity clips will not stop them.
