The SCOTUS can make a difference when it comes to abortion.
Thanks to pro-life Presidents Reagan, Bush41 and Bush43 the band on PBA is upheld. Thank God.
Maybe J.Kenendy is having second thoughts on his pro-choice position.

Haven’t heard why Kennedy would have a change of heart on this issue. Any links where I can read up?

Next president WILL appoint a justice. There will probably be a democrat majority in congress. So we need a solid conservative who won’t be inclined to let the democrats pick which “strict constructionist” to appoint.
Rudy has shown that when there are obstacles in place to appointing good conservative justices, he is happy to go along with those obstacles so long as the justice meets his definition of “fair and honest”, which according to Rudy includes finding that Roe is settled law.

Too bad for Rudy Giuliani.
Can’t wait till he explains this.
“I supported Clinton’s veto of the partial birth ban. But I also support the decision to uphold the ban by Roberts and Alito.”
To: Spiff
Alito and Roberts make the majority.
GWB made the right choices.

It’s scary that it was that close of a vote.
To: xzins
Absolutely right. We’d improve this country by leaps and bounds if we had more judges like Alito, Thomas, et al.

Agreed. These 5-4 decisions are too close for comfort.
