If he printed the post electronically (like through payapl or stamps.com), many times the postage will have the date and, IIRC, time stamped on the postage.

Or if he used US Priority Mail - 2 days. Usually if you take a package in to be mailed, they print the label for you at the counter. Would be interesting to see if he was seen in the originating Post Office.

You’ll probably see it on UTube shortly.

Something seems fishy about this story.

A guy murders a couple people, goes back to his room, writes a long rambling letter and mails a package to NBC before murdering 30 more people, all before lunch. The guy with the "fishy" behavior appears to be Cho.

I think you are right, after he chained the doors and killed all those people, he was going to drop the guns make a run for it but couldn’t get out because he lost the keys so he blew his demented brain out. One of those ‘Doh’ moments. s/off

The shrink on Fox prepares us for the content. Can’t take at face value, with your rational mind, the ramblings of an irrational mind. It’s gonna be ugly.

We could have been hearing the .22 going off, he may have reloaded and then used the 9mm. Or it could have been law enforcement going though the chained door.

I disagree. Any editor worth hius salt, would
be making copies of everything including taking
pictures of the packaging, immeditely after hanging
up with the FBI...Albeit wearing plastic gloves
and using tweezers. Hecl, i’d bet there’d be many
who woukd make the copies *before* calling the FBI,
just in case the FBI said they couldn’t make copies, so it would be a fait accompli.

Remember, the package was legally sent to NBC, it *was* their property, before the FBI laid claim.

What can I say? Some of those posts are mine and so of course I disagree:’) These threads remind me of a novel. You have the introduction (1st 100) and then the story (where we are now) and some drag out when they should close with “the end” (fighting /arguing/getting OT) HMM maybe the thread is further along than I thought.

Gotta wonder about this dude’s complete rap sheet. I bet he’s been in trouble with the law a number of times before.

There is no way he went to the USPS Post Office.

If he had gone to the Post Office he would have been in line for six hours and never would have had time to do the other killings.

Unfortunately “rubbernecking” is apparently human nature.

It’s probably going to be ideological. Nutcases always want to think they are acting on the behalf of something greater. Of course, maybe he found an ideology that suits.

If the guy was just whacked out, you’d see the letters.

He’s probably whacked, and a Muslim convert.

They are afraid of this helping the current administration and the war effort.

I’m not saying this is what it is, but I can’t imagine why the original letter and this one haven’t been published.

One other angle is they are looking for an accomplice and don’t want to tip their hand.

CNN is wrong..he was ordered to see a shrink who cleared him..no conviction in court, no record, no shows up on the background check..the headline misrepresents the story..

I feel for the relatives of the victims with this all coming out. Still, Calling John Edwards. The nation's trial lawyers are going to bankrupt the school, the hospital, the doctors, the counselors, etc. etc.

Probably mail drops in the dorms. Just guessing.

Yup:

“NBC news, due to the complexity of the issue and the dijointed material will be analyzing and SHOWING THIS OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS...we want to take our time so you can fully understand this terrible event. Yes, it is true that we will make many millions of dollars by our slow release advertising strategy but we are here to inform you.”

In other words, complete spin control, in order to minimize anything he might have said that could be an embarassment to their liberal nostrums.
