>>>>>Fox News has gone pretty hardcore Pro-Rudy lately - lots of NY GOP in the ranks.

Lotsa moderates and centrists at Fox News. Rockefeller Republicans are a NYCity mainstay.

Rudy and McCain have both said they are in the race, whether they have filed the necessary papers or not. They have also released their contribution accounting numbers, so that puts them in the race.

Thompson has not received one dime, nor spent one dime. He is not yet in the race. I sincerely hope he enters sooner rather than later, just to kick Rudy’s ass all the way to the end of Long Island.

John McCain was giving away free hotdogs during his Bomb Iran speech

I hear nuclear fallout is very effective in roasting hot dogs...

Yesterday we had milk and cookies for you, but alas they were all eaten up by the newcomers who moved us from 27 to 35. Today we have tuna fish sandwiches. Yum.

What poll was it where Rudy went from 27% to 35%? It wasn't this poll, in this poll Rudy declined. Again.

While you're at it, in which poll did Thompson decline 8%? Again, it wasn't this poll.

Actually that is not true. He is pretty close according to the last meaningless poll (5%) and is almost her equal in fundraising. She, OTOH has a popularity problem.

I got tired of Fox with Shepherd and Geraldo this week, so I turned them off. They were getting to be too much.

"Is your objection to the number in the sample or to the use of registered rather than likely voters?"

Both actually, I am the type that only considers a poll valid if it includes most of the people who it affects, I.E. all the voting public in this case.

However, for those that believe in political polls, a much bigger sample, 900 is just assinine for this type of question, and "Likely voters" instead of registered voters.

Quite a few registered voters never vote.

I think FT is down because with the events of the past few weeks (Imus,VT, etc) there has not been a lot of talk about him so the buzz has died down a bit. When things calm down a bit, and politics goes back to being the daily top story, I expect his profile to rise again.

Actually I think Rudy is more like Nelson Rockefeller, popular with Republican Establishment Politicos, does well with the public as whole and looks like a sure thing, but yet every time he ran, someone else would squeak out the nomination.

Geraldo should have been tried for treason a long time ago for the stunt he pulled against our troops in Iraq.

How dare you question the accuracy of a Rudy Giuliani campaign activist? /sarcasm

>>>>>Fred polls weak in OH and PA. He must take at least one of these two to win in November 08. Rudy loses in OH but takes PA and NJ, and that makes him the only Republican candidate at present capable of beating the Dim nominee.

You're fulla crapola. The GOP nomination process is still progressing. At this point, no one knows whats gonna happen in the race for the nomination. Not you, not anyone. Fred hasn't even entered the race and may never take that plunge. So we don't know how Fred will do should he go for it.

We do know Rudy the liberal IS in the race. We do know that Jersey is a liberal state, that's why Rudy polls well with voters there. Pennsylvania and Ohio have become more moderate-centrist states in recent years, now they're on the verge of turning the corner in support of a liberal. I'm not impressed.

I actually like him, especially when he has the balls to go to Iraq (unlike many reporters) and talk to the troops. But I felt like he was making the Va Tech massacre more exploited than it needed to be. Shepherd Smith did not ring totally true to me either, so I can’t say he was much better.

"....These numbers will not change appreciably in the next 6 months, but if Fred Thompson ever gets to a point that he can beat the Dims in PA or OH I will rethink my support for Rudy.

I live in PA and I can tell you it ain't gonna happen. He's 14 points back in the general here. A generic Republican would poll higher....."

This is my take on it too. Fred Thompson is a good man but probably will remain in 2nd or 3rd place.

These two pulled my chain too! I try to avoid Shepherd Smith at all costs and Geraldo ticked me off with his screaming match with O’Reilly over the illegal alien drunk driver who killed 2 teen aged girls. What an apologist he is for law breaking Hispanics!
