Warming Island? I think a better name is “Chicken Little Island”.

Nope, it’s just an outpost. Atlantis is in the Pegasus Galaxy now.

"If an island is found by a U.S. explorer, doesn’t it become a U.S. Island? doesn’t this redraw the map?"

Too late. This one was claimed by Norway when they colonized it in the 900's.

Oh. Then I’m at ends to explain it. Danish territory already perhaps?

I’m sure someone got it, but it was just a fanciful thought, like claiming the sea mounts that turn into islands in the pacific.

No worries, this “new island” will soon be submerged due to the rapidly rising seas from global warming unless we all buy enough carbon credits from Algore.

Intersting graphic. The weight of the ice sheets alone has depressed most of Greenland to below sea level. In fact, if all the ice in Greenland were to melt (which took 18,000 years to build), then 88% of the excess could be contained in the Qatarra Depression with a simple 50 mile or so long canal from the Medditerranean to drain it in.

lies 400 miles north of the Arctic Circle in eastern Greenland, reports The Sun.

Keep in mind, it was named Greenland for a reason.

Won’t global warming cause the sea to rise, covering the island, and cancelling out the problem?

I knew it was near Greenland! The Charlie in the Box had a distinct Greenlandian accent.

Hmmmm. I would have thought that Gore Island or Inconvenient Island would have been more appropriate.
