Don’t worry, I have no intention of that. Thanks! :-)

I’m all for fighting it out in the primaries, but then I always support the Republican nominee, whoever it is, and I always vote. “Third party,” “Write-in,” “Stay home” and “Leave blank” are the spoil sports who take the ball and go home. The Third Party Perot vote gave the Presidency to Clinton in 1992, but I’m sure all those who voted for Perot were proud of themselves — they were able to get rid of GHW Bush.

Silly, I first have pay you some respect for the battle.

Second - I want to offer you something to consider.

Conversation is not easy inside FR when it comes to Rudy.

This thread shows the venom and lack of courtesy for opposing, positive views of the man.

If I were you - I would state your position once - then if the attacks come - let it go.

There is a lot of anger from our party’s right side. It’s understandable - it’s heart felt - and it’s deep.

Don’t do battle with it - pay it respect and move on.

It’s like being at a cocktail party - having a political conversation with someone who gets instantly angry.

No sense trying to debate that person - just excuse yourself and find someone you can talk to.

The GOP will be fine - this thread just shows that we’re a healthy family.

“I’ll tell you who is bitter: God is bitter...”

God is bitter? Wow, that’s a first. So, who does God turn to for help with His bitterness? You are really need to read your Bible friend.

He would also admonish his church to provide for all her needs, until they were completely met.

Yes, but how does that equate to "taxpayer expense?" The church is NOT the government. In our town there are several of these types of organizations which care for unwed pregnant women out of their love for their God (in the Jewish instances) or their Jesus (in Christian instances.)

Hey, what about your individual responsibility for your own sins? If you're so big on individual reponsibility, why are you relying on God's grace and Jesus' sacrifice to make up for your failings? You couldn't take personal responsibility for your sin even if you tried. Not even 1% of it.

I AM individually responsible for the choices I make.

Link

Individual responsibility can be found in many places of the Book of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 18:20 states: The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. The son is not responsible for the behavior of the Father, and the father is not responsible for the behavior of the son in terms of eternal life or eternal death. Each has a direct relationship with his Maker and each must be accountable for his actions.

In Ezekiel 3:17-21 God also applies this same logic to the relationship of the prophet and those to whom the prophet is sent by God. If the prophet warns the wicked as God has instructed him, and the wicked fail to heed the warning, the prophet is freed from his responsibility to God. However, if the prophet fails to give the proper warning to the wicked, the prophet is held responsible to God for not helping the wicked person escape death.

In Ezekiel 14:14-20 God says that the righteousness of Noah, Daniel and Job can only assist in their own deliverance, but their righteousness has no effect on other people who are in the land of these men. When God permits the beasts to prowl, the sword to shed blood or pestilence to destroy life, the sons and daughters that live in the land are not spared simply because of the righteousness of Noah, Daniel and Job. The sons and daughters have to deliver their own soul by their own righteousness.

In the New Testament when sinners go astray from the word of the Lord, their belief in the risen Lord and his righteousness takes away their sin to allow them to return to the Lord and be at one with God.

I was lazy there and copied from another website, but there are many, many more indications that God is a God of personal responsibility. You can't separate that from the scriptures. It doesn't mean that we can PAY for what we've done in ourselves, it means that we have a responsibility to live appropriately in the grace we've been given.

Hey, Freepers, gather 'round---here's a beauty from Freeper calcowgirl. Rooty's tooting algore's horn:

“I do believe there’s global warming, yes. ...The big question has always been how much of it is happening because of natural climate changes and how much of it is happening because of human intervention. ... The overwhelming number of scientists now believe that there is significant human cause.’’ The debate on the existence of global warming is “is almost unnecessary...because we should be dealing with pollution anyway.” —Rudolph Giuliani, San Francisco Chronicle, February 12, 2007

BTW, did Rooty take Juti's carbon footprint----I mean, all that silicone, botox, hair dye, straightener, all that precious gems/metals mining, etc?

The earth’s average temperature over the past 100 years has risen less than one degree. At this rate, we will all be dead in 10,000 years!!

There IS global warming. I was listening to Hugh Hewitt last week and he had a guy on who has written a book to counter Al Gore vis a vis global warming. And he said what Rudy said. The earth is warmer by a tiny (teeny-tiny) bit - BUT the question IS "how much of it is happening because of natural climate changes and how much of it is happening because of human intervention."

You are trying to make it sound like Rudy buys in to the Gore version of global warming, which he does not.

You all have been brainwashed in regards to guns. Get out of NY and people have a different perspective. Down here where I live you have to assume everybody is armed. I’ve linked the story about Kennesaw, GA. Yes it is a suburb, but, what you have to know about the metro Atlanta area is that we are a commuter city that has many roads in and out of the suburbs, easy to escape, gun crime does not spread out although it easily could.

So you admit that the temperature has risen, but you do not necessarily agree that it is man made. So you agree with Rudy. :)

Maybe you feel better about anger and hatred...?

There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.

— The Book of Wisdom

How long, O Lord? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire?

O Lord God of hosts, how long will you be angry with your people’s prayers?

Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations?

— The Psalms

pm, I have said next to nothing about my beliefs regarding guns. I only asked someone to dig more deeply and outline his own beliefs. Read the conversation.

No. Rudy clearly said that man was causing it - the science is in - and all that is left is debating how to stop it.

In the past two thousand years, the earth’s temperature has both risen and fallen. It depends on who takes the temperature and who stacks the statistics. I’m not saying I really believe the increased temperature numbers, but even if they are right, it cannot point to man-made causes only. I would think that the sun had more to do with it, just as Mars and other planets show signs of warming. It is merely a way for environmental extremists to justify charging America for all the costs in lowering emissions. They would make as much sense if the would go after the cows in India.

Typical liberal response. You post has absolutely nothing to do with my comments to you. You really give Christianity a bad name with you judgmental and moral superiority attitude. Your theology is really strange. God is bitter? The God I serve isn’t.
