I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again:
If you want to put the South away EARLY in 2008 for the GOP, put forward a Thompson/Gingrich ticket.
They would rock the South, and the GOP would basically need to spend nothing there.

Why would you weigh the ticket down with Gingrich?
It would be better to pick someone from a swing state, like Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesnowta.

Get to it Fred! My prediction is an announcement on the tonight show in early May. McCain is probably out by September citing "health reasons" and gives Thompson a strong endorsement.
