Reid: Bush Must Halt Slaying of Terrorist Leaders
by Scott Ott
(2007-05-01) As unconfirmed news broke that the chief of al-Qaeda in Iraq may have been killed in a battle with a rival terror group, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called on President George Bush to step in and halt the slaying of terror leaders.
Its a known fact that every time a terror leader is killed, another rises to take his place, said Sen. Reid. Therefore, the only way to stop the spawning of new terror leaders is to halt the slaying of the current ones.
The Nevada Democrat said Mr. Bush should petition the United Nations to send in an unarmed peacekeeping force to protect the known terror leaders from accidental or intentional execution by Iraqi and U.S. forces, as well as by their own colleagues in the terror industry.
If these guys keep getting knocked off, Sen. Reid said, how will we ever build relationships that lead to negotiations and peace treaties? The longer a terror leader stays at the helm, the more we can get to know him. When Democrats talk about bringing stability to the region, this is what we mean.
Why not? It worked for Castro. LOL!
Scrappleface is so damn good.
Why did I instantly took this as real life?
bttt
Scrappable Face....but it has the ring of truth! LOL
ROFL
This guy cracks me up every time. Good stuff, good stuff.
The sickest thing about Scrappleface headlines is I don’t know they’re false until I read the origin of the headline. I could definitely envision Reid saying this in some context.
Because Harry Reid has become a caricature.
Turn your satire detector on.
EGADS. Scrappleface is good. LOL
I dunno, maybe because Harry Reid is such a bloomin' idiot. I admit, I missed the Scrappleface thing myself, and thought it was genuine.
I can only shake my head in total disbelief.
Its a known fact that every time a terror leader is killed, another rises to take his place, said Sen. Reid. Therefore, the only way to stop the spawning of new terror leaders is to halt the slaying of the current ones.
Reid actually said this?
I knew he was a pathetic partisan hack...but this tells me he really is ate up with the goofies.
I fell for it just like the SF rube that I am.
You can’t kill the enemy, what’s the matter with you?
Every time we defeat a democrat, a new one rises to take his place.
Therefore we must stop defeating democrats.
On the other hand....
Everytime the democrats defeat a Republican, the Republicans send a new one.
Therefore the democrats must stop defeating Republicans.
But...
Everytime someone dies, a new person gets born, therefore we have to stop dying.
and...
Everytime someone retires from a company, a new person takes his/her place. Therefore people have to stop retiring.
and it should be noted that....
Everytime someone buys a loaf of bread the store puts a new one on shelf - so everyone should stop buying bread.
and finally....
Everytime you eat you then have to go to the bathroom....need I say more?
oops, I thought it was real too, guess the guy has completely lost all credibility with me.
You know the world is turning upside down when it gets harder and harder to distinguish Scrappleface from reality.
Dingy Harry has not learned the lesson of, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak up and remove all doubt."
Everytime Bush kills a terrorist...God kills a puppy.
so did I lol

.
Gaaaaaaa!
Is this man smart enough to tie his own shoes!?
Why do voters put utter fools into office?
It’s a joke -
but like all good humor, it has a basis in truth.
Yes, I had to look to see that it was from Scrappleface before I confirmed that Reid hadn’t actually said something this incredibly “liberal”.
D’OH! Fooled again by Scrappleface. Frankly, the brilliance of the site is presenting scenarios about the libs that SEEM so plausible! Can’t you just hear Dingy Harry saying something like this?
Oh my G-d. I choked on my lunch before I realized it was Scrappleface. It’s way too close to the truth.
(...or why are they allowed to post on FR?) :-/
D'oh!

gotta love Scrappleface!
LOL!
Reid makes for a good cartoon villan.
Until I opened it up. I thought it was serious. It is something that Reid would say.
How about: "Every time the Democrats defeat a Republican, the rest of the Republicans start trying to be Democrats."
Of course, since 1995 or thereabouts, the Republicans have been acting like Democrats anyway.
Btw, you did notice that the article was a satire? They really ought to print satire in a different font or something, because it really is hard to distinguish satire from reality when Harry Reid is involved.
The Mods have got to start requiring that any Scrappleface headline contain a (humor) or (satire) notice in the headline.
Too many people are getting fooled by him because he’s so close to the truth.
It’s on....... (better late than never)
I had just finished reading this

Me too. This wouldn’t surprise me one bit. Dems Own Defeat.
“Kumbayah, my Lord, Kumbayah!
Someone’s whining, Lord, Kumbayah...”
Scott Ott for FauxPresident ‘08!! ;-)
I was more frightened at believing the headline was real than I was of the headline itself.
This story is fake but true.
Because it could be?
Reid IS siding with terrorists...think not, OK read the article.
Pay attention and get motivated.
It Scrappleface, but he hits it so close to home you don’t know if it’s real or not, man is he good.
“The longer a terror leader stays at the helm, the more we can get to know him.”
Yeah Harry, YOU’VE been around quite a long time and we’re getting to know you REAL well. It’s time YOU said goodbye.
This guy is THE definition of the word MORON.
They have NO idea who we’re all up against. Not a clue.
Again, I thought this was real until I noticed the Scrappleface byline. The Democrats really have gone so far off the deep end that they are self-parodies, so actual parodies are harder and harder to spot...
sadly, based on Sen Reid’s recent treason I actually thought this might be true.
