Thompson and his campaign werent happy with it. Sorry you are so easily satisfied.

I took hits for my initial assessment of Thompson's speech as kind of long-winded and boring. Now I take hits because I'm "satisifed" with it? Priceless...

You know, I'll beat up on President Bush for his border or spending policies when I'm talking to conservatives. But if a liberal, anti-war puke pipes up and says anything bad about Pres. Bush, I shove it right back down their throat. It's kind of the same way with Thompson and the other conservative candidates. I may offer constructive criticism of something they may do or say as they campaign, but if a Rudytard opens his cakehole to attack them, that's not going to set well with me.

It all goes to intent. When a conservative candidate's supporter offers constructive criticism, it is made in an effort to actually benefit the candidate or simply to discuss how the candidate is doing in hopes that they'll do better. When a Rudytard goes after one of the conservative candidates it is to tear the conservative down to make their liberal pro-abortionist, gun grabbing candidate look better somehow. Or to make the ridiculous claim, as you did in this thread, of "See! Your candidate supports abortion too!! Nyaaahhh!"

It's like if you're worried about your mother's weight and concerned she might develop medical problems and you say, "Mom, I'm worried about your weight." But if someone calls your Mom a "lardass", that's a whole different ball game. Get it?

Now, if it is your intent to promote a liberal candidate by tearing down the conservative candidates, then you're on the wrong website.

Dave S: I noticed you casually skipped over these questions and barbed commentaries. Why? What are you doing on a conservative website if you don’t hold such conservative principles self-evident? What’s the point?

And you’ll be cheering if a liberal beats the conservatives in the primaries, I’m sure. What the **** are you even doing here on this conservative forum, troll?
....
Number one, calling a good conservative a “lazy ass” is not something you should be doing. Fred Thompson is doing precisely what he should be doing. His campaign strategy is sound.

By “you folks”, I assume that you mean “you conservatives.” Putting you outside that group, being a damned liberal or some other freak Losertarian.

I won’t stay home. I value my vote, whether the republican party does or not. But I won’t vote for Rudy.

“In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.” Said Jefferson.

I think Rudy the-proabort RINO is pretty well stopped at this point. Now we need to start working on Romney the-progay northeasterner.

I agree. Your Jefferson quote says it all.

I still can't believe that so many 'so-called' conservatives are willing to 'sell their souls',,,along with traditional conservative values and principles,,,,TO ELECT A LIBERAL!!! It's just amazing.

If you want the liberal DREAM of two political parties,,,,,BOTH of the 'left-of-center',,,,

a liberal like JulieAnnie is JUST THE MAN FOR THE JOB!!!!

“Besides, it’s time to get the abortion issue off the table, because abortions will continue no matter who wins in 2008.”

Just because a practice continues does not make it right. Child molestation will likely continue beyond the 2008 election. Does that mean we should not condemn child molestation or those who practice it or support it?

“I don’t understand why there’s so many Rudy haters here.”

Uhhh...because it’s a conservative website?

“Rudy has broad appeal that all the other candidates DON’T HAVE.”

Broad appeal to whom? Socialists? And why would any of us care?

How about this, each time you cally Rudy a turd or Rudyturd, or some derived 2nd grade insult, I’ll donate $10 to the Giuliani campaign.

“Why then do hardcore conservatives make up such a small percentage of the voting population?? They only win elections by bringing moderates into the fold.”

Perhaps. But who are the people who work the polls, walk the precincts, make the phone calls, and donate the time and effort needed to win the election?

Answer: Those same hardcore conservatives. The “moderates” are busy watching TV.

“Rudy isn’t a radical liberal. That’s just ridiculous.”

You’re right. He’s a socialist.

Who spawned it????

RINO hacks like you who want to keep dragging the GOP leftwards.

LOL. Are you mineral or vegetable?

Conservative. Something you apparently find alien.

But the question raised in the 1992 process is the same one raised in 2008. Bush I was the nominee based on primary voting. What would you have had the GOP do?

Learn from its mistakes and don't lurch leftwards again?

You're all alone, you know. Most of the Rudybots have deserted the ship.

Keep up the fight if you wish but you'll be beaten down by Freepers more anchored to what American conservatism is all about.
