So you have no problem with all RUSSIA’s neighbors to “have the good armed forces” as well right? Excellent. So should be NO problem for them to integrate with NATO and install those US ABM’s right comrade?

“Last time I checked, we didn’t have our intelligence agents running wild across the globe bumping off our critics and political rivals.”

And using such bold and unusually strange methods.
I thought good assassins were supposed to operate in the dark shadows and escape undetected.

Recent events makes one wonder how much mental illness is a factor with Putin.

I’m glad that you said that. SO you confirmed that NATO is directed against Russia. So to be worring about NATO isn’t no “endless incessant paranoia” but the real life. Same time you also corfiemed that NATo isn’t no “defensive allience”. When it choose appropriate it invade. Hence Russian old wisdom “her best firends are her military forces” is very true.

Where did I say it was directed against the USSR, ops I mean Russia? It’s just that if a strong armed forces is good for the Russian Goose, it is EQUALLY good for the Polish, Ukrainian, Latvian, Estonian etc Gander. You really need to start taking your meds as you are now confabulating or having delusional thoughts comrade.

Foreign policy Nazi style: 3 million soldiers massed on the Polish partition line. Is the USA massing millions of troops on the border of Russia?

I absolutely agree with it. I just rather do not call NATO a “defensive”. It is offensive all right when it suits NATO countries.

But if strong armed forces so good for Russia, strong armed forces and allies good for Russia’s neighbors also da?

So too bad for Russia’s paranoia tovarish. Maybe if she had been a better neighbor in the past those on her borders would not feel the need for other allies.

The problem is that our naibors joined any invasions toward Russia. SO they may worry us and we has many reason to worry them.

Maybe if she had been a better neighbor in the past those on her borders would not feel the need for other allies.==

May be you right. But unfortunately we can’’t choose our neibors. They are as they are. SO only our true allies (our strong armed forces) may really help.

Putin's psyching the Russians up for a resumption of hostile attitude towards the US. Perhaps he figures that an alliance of Russia, China, and the Muslim world can take us down
Let's not forget Mexico while we're at it.

And Venezeula.

Looks like WWI 2.0 shaping up. Different players, sure -- but same game.

And frankly, I wouldn't be too sure that they won't pull it off. We certainly seem to preoccupied with everything other than addressing the real threats.

We live in very frightening times. This must be how it felt to live in Rome shortly before the fall. Enemies gathering at the gates, while inside the city, a preoccupation with gratification, entertainment, bread, circuses, and... madness.
