Why don’t we just give them the f****** keys to the White Hose and be done with it? /sarcasm off

They did that already. Tried out the Lincoln bedroom. Mattress was too stiff.

There IS no free trade
There IS no fair trade

Amen, bro, amen. Folks hear the phrase "Free Trade" but most nations out there charge customs duties that make a payday loan pawnshop look like a bargain. Years ago I went with somebody to Taiwan and watched this person get hit with a 120% duty on clothing. You bring in a $10 pair of pants? Pay $12 in customs for the $10 pants.

For the most part, "Free Trade" means that nations like China tell us "We want to sell our stuff in the USA for free." And that's where the "Free" ends. It's always lopsided, and it's always to our disadvantage.

Gosh, I couldn’t begin to guess. There’s lots of stuff about Google Earth that is mysterious to me. I typed “Shanghai, China” into the search function and it took me right there.

Well, it is not labeled on Google Maps. However it does take you to the location with a green arrow and no label. If you try to zoom in, you get the "We're sorry, we don't have maps that zoom to that level."

Clue: There is a well-known collusion between Google and the Chinese Government. That's not conspiracy theory, that's documented. Also, the Chinese don't like their country's picture taken from space. America, except for a few small spots, doesn't seem to mind - you or I can see any major city.

You will come to learn that many on FR hate working class people, hate that they can possibly make more than $12.00/ hr...and definitely hate you if you have benefits.

But, but that trailer trash guy can get a dee-vee-dee player for twenty-five bucks.

What's he got to complain about? That's freaking nirvana.

And four-dollars for five tube socks that fall apart in two months.

Hey, those guys should be grateful.

I've had enough of their whining.

"I am sorry but I really have utterly no interest in being economically enslaved to corrupt “American” Union bosses and incompetent business owners by Govt dictate just because a bunch of trailer trash are so economically ignorant they cannot figure out their bad life choices are NOT the fault of some evil foreign, or corporates, entity out to “get them”. Either you accept the burden, and well as the gift of Liberty, or you are nothing but hypocrites. You don’t get to selectively pick and choose which Liberties you embrace and which you will demand everyone give up in a desperate hope for some sort of illusionary “security”."

More than 150,000 businesses in China are owned by the Chinese government. Who is the hypocrite? Who is not embracing liberty? Who is saying that security is an illusion? IMO, you described the PLA and all who give their allegiance to it and to its preferred form of government.

Those are the same interests involved in pushing our political leadership to bow down and beg for compromises in reply to Iran's aggressions--all for the sake of the fantasy of continuing cheap freight fuel for imports.

You've apparently forgotten as to exactly what kind of Americans the terrorist enemy is most intent on attacking. He won't be after the "trailer trash" mentioned by you. But after your words and attitude on the matter, will you expect the "trailer trash" (many rendered fatherless, so their brainwashed, divorcing mothers can be cheaper labor, and their fathers won't rise to compete) to mobilize again and actually fight in the field to punish anyone for your sake?

Libertine leftists are now in control of much more than unions, and their concern is limited to what they can each get for themselves today.

“Years ago I went with somebody to Taiwan and watched this person get hit with a 120% duty on clothing. You bring in a $10 pair of pants? Pay $12 in customs for the $10 pants.”

If you had made a Taiwanese national a 10% partner in the business, you would have paid 10% at customs. That is a 20% duty instead of 120%. Same with Malaysia. You need a Malaysian “native” to get the good rates, or forget it.
There are many other things you learn, too numerous to go in here.

Free trade

Fair trade

is a MYTH!

Thank you. I’m in favor of free international trade but only with foreign businesses that thrive without the help of their governments.

We have an obligation to inspect whatever comes into this country, especially products that we digest. Instead of letting the problem continue — and get worse — we need to get serious about adding more inspectors and being more thorough. Lets not wait for a catastrophe to act.

Agreed.

Well, of course, the Chinese are more accustomed to STEALING our technology, actually. I say let them come up with their own technology. I am weary of stupidly giving the lousy Communists our know-how. Ours should NOT be for sale. What absolute idiots we have running the country these days!

You don’t get to selectively pick and choose which Liberties you embrace and which you will demand everyone give up in a desperate hope for some sort of illusionary “security”.

Apparently you anarchists never heard of

The Constitution of the United States of America

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Everything in our Constitutional preamble is an affront to an anarchist such as you. Since you are so lamely accusing everyone of things you impute to them...its about time you had a TASTE OF YOUR OWN MEDICINE: Here's YOU reacting to each and every Consitutional statement therein:

We? Whose "we"? Don't include me in with the rest of you U.S. losers! I'm "liberated" from the Rest of YOU!

Form a union? God (if we anarchists even believed in Him) forbid. I don't want to be associated, or even on the same planet as the rest of you losers. And any union of any kind, would be an INFRINGEMENT on my rights to be uncontrolled in any way, shape manner or form. I have the liberty to be a tyrannical despot. And you can't MAKE ME be any different.

Establish justice? Hell, I sure don't want that, since I am busy breaking all laws, morals and committing acts against common decency besides. That's "liberty." Justice is for losers. They need big bad government to run their lives.

Insure domestic tranquility? Who gives a rats behind about that? I never do. I don't care how many Americans I offend, and how many I would see fired or killed as losers, or forced out of their homes or onto the dole or killed by the Communists etc. That's their look-out. I just want my MONEY!

Provide for the common defense? Why on EARTH should I have to pay for the defense of all the rest of you losers?!! That's MY money, and I will instead demand you defend me... But my money is MINE. MINE, MINE!!!!!! The hell if I will squander it on national defense.

Promote the general welfare Why would I care about anyone besides myself? That would be a violation of MY LIBERTY!

and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity Liberty doesn't give a rats behind about our "posterity." Liberty is only for ME. ME ALONE. All that matters is my paycheck, right now. Today. Period. Posterity needs to look out for itself.
