I just saw a clip on FOX (Factor w/ Malkin) where Lidsey Graham called anyone who opposes this immigration bill “BIGOTS”.

Normally, one issue won't make or break a pol in my eyes... but this is the mother of all deal breakers.

What is your thought process to reach that conclusion?.... I see it just the opposite. They have now cleared the way for debate to begin, amendments can be submitted, etc.

Now the outcome in the House may provide for a different outcome, DOA or radically changed via amendments, etc.

I’ll bet you have no problem with the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny either. Look at all the Senators who voted to invoke cloture. What makes you think any of them will vote against the bill? If they were against the bill, all they had to do was vote against invoking cloture.

The Democrats want more Democrat voters and the business wing of the Republican Party wants cheap labor. The majority of voters want enforcement, but that same majority has no voice in this matter because it does not provide enough of the money that politicians need to be reelected.

I will keep making calls, sending emails, and writing letters, but I see no way to stop this train. I will have to get my little bit of satisfaction by eventually voting against my Texas Republican Senators if they support this bill. I will never vote for a Democrat, but I’ll vote for some third-party yahoo or withhold my vote before I’ll vote for any Republican who supports this bill.

The pressure will continue on the Senate. Lets Git r’ done. I’m not familiar with Senate debate rules but I would like the debate and the offering of amendments televised. There’s got to be a way.
