"I think he needs to be put in his place, I think he needs to stop using children for his own selfish pleasures," says a determined Sabrina.

I think he needs to be shot and then have his genitals cut off. Next, post pics of his dead, nude, emasculated body on his own website.
But that just my opinion.

Overall, I agree but my wife and I do a great job of communicating with our neighbors. New houses spring up on our street monthly and we have meet and greet BBq’s every few months. It has been great when someone needs a hand, everyone is willing to help. I think we are blessed.

Jack McClellan admits he's a pedophile, whose full-time job is trolling for little girls. Once he finds them he puts that information on his site -- it's essentially a how-to guide for pedophiles.

His place is in the ground.

I sometimes strongly believe that we should bring backt he concept of outlaw for child molesters. Tatoo their foreheads to let the world know they are fair game, outside the protection or sanctuary of the law. Declare that they are not allowed to live among civilization without risk to life or limb. Drive them into exile. OR we could just save a lot of time and quit releasing them from jail or letting them hide behind the ACLU skirts.

>I>He gets away with photographing children without their knowledge or consent; and posting their pictures on websites while TV and newspapers must get a consent form signed by the parent or legal guardian before taking pictures of any child and posting them.

Newspapers ant TV stations use pictures of kids without releases all the time -- festivals in the park, first day of school, that kind of thing. They're generally careful to use wide shots and steer clear of identifiable pictures of individual kids. They do get releases of identifiable kids, especially if they interview them, but I'm not sure if that's required by law or is a widely-accepted ethical standard.

I looked at McClellan's site. It's profoundly creepy. What I did not see is what the story describes -- photographs of girls with or without personal information. I suspect McClellan consulted a lawyer and took those down. If the description in the story is accurate, then McClellan may have broken laws against invasion of privacy, possibly even stalking. And if anyone who read his site approached, harassed, or God forbid molested a young girl based on the information on his site, he could be on the hook for incitement or facilitation.

But in the absence of an actual crime, what I see on the site -- repeating that the content mentioned in the OP might have since been removed -- falls within first amendment territory. The best response would be to see to it that as many parents as possible know this creep's face, and post a gallery of pictures of him taking his pictures. And be ready to pounce if he posts any.

The best way to hit this ******* is in the pocketbook. Put the word out that all web traffic to his seedy site is being tracked and investigated... then try to get someone in law enforcement to do just that...”

What website?

So it is ok to look but not touch. Too bad that looking will only intensify the desire to touch. I am going to do some real armchair psych here. Men’s brain thrive on the visual. Their sexual desires are stimulated and encouraged by the images they find appealing. Porn, strip clubs, gawking at bikinis does not serve as an alternate outlet for desire. They serve as a means of normalizing a guys fantasy and desire. In some cases this is harmless and even good. Such as a guy enjoying seeing his wife in victoria secret lingerie. But in the case of a pederast it is very harmful.

Pederast ( I refuse to use the word pedophile with its greek suffix for love) are sick, evil and a danger to society. Only their complete separation from children will ever keep our children safe.

I thought so too...apparently it is only illegal for people that do not want to exploit our children to take pictures of them without consent.

It's not illegal to photograph anyone in a public place. There are restrictions on how you can *publish* the photos without a release from the model.

People talk so much about gateway drugs...how about gateway acts of pedophilia? Just as people that promote using drugs are monitored, so should this be.

What do you do, issue a plethysmograph to every man entering the park? Plenty of people like to watch children play in the park, not all of them parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles. For the vast majority of them, there's nothing sexual about this, and no threat.

That is clearly not true of Jack McClellan, who has a severe mental disorder; but that alone is not a crime. And I don't see any sane way to make illegal to watch children in the wrong state of mind. It would be likemakingit illegal to take pictures of someone else's house because you might be a burglar casing the joint -- sure, but you might also be taking a picture to show your realtor the kind of house you want to look at, or your landscaper how you'd like your yard to look, or you might just be an architecture buff.

That’s a damned good question.

The whole problem with this country is that doing things like this man is doing is not an affirmative defense for killing him.

Fix that problem and a whole lot more will get fixed overnite.
