No one ever said liberal airheads do not get paid well.

The bosses want bubble-heads who will spout the party-line without thinking and make it sound reasonable because they, the bubbleheads, appear to be so together. There fore the well-paid combination of beauty and vapidity.

The POTUS leads (and holds the veto pen). This one is leading us down the wrong road on this crucial issue.

Yes, but for anyone paying attention, Bush has been very clear on his position on illegal immigration since before he became president in 2000. So, if you wanted the border issue resolved properly, then voting the Republicans out of both Houses was not the way to go.

Had the Republicans not been voted out of both Houses the border issue would have been dealt with properly.

And between 2002-2006 there wasn't enough time "to deal with this properly"?

It was dealt with. The Republicans kept voting down the DEM version of the bill that contained amnesty. You should research this before posting such. The voter roll call can be found on the net for all the immigration bills along with the actual bills.

well there is no doubt that NBC is perfectly comfortable to represent their view on the backs of Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann. Adding Mika is only giving the male view (lmao)

If shamnesty passes then every President in the next half century will have to undo the damage of the Bush presidency.

Hardly using the power of the majority to get something positive done.

Yeah, you are in so much better shape with amnesty on the way!

It was dealt with.

There was a reason the words "deal with properly" were in quotes.

While the situation is demonstrably worse with the loss of both houses, there is no evidence that it would have been "dealt with properly" with Republican control of both houses...because it was not before.

“Yeah, you are in so much better shape with amnesty on the way!”

I never said that I wanted them. Only that we failed to take advantage of our majority in so many ways. But of course amnesty will be signed by a Republican president and voted for by many Republicans.

I remember Mika from years ago .She is as effect and “deep” as Joey Beher of the View. Worthless
in my book.

MIKA : We're looking for someone who is going to be able to communicate globally and sort of repair what some may believe is a huge problem in terms of our reputation and respect for ourselves around the world.

Saturday, 20 November, 1999, 01:40 GMT Violence greets Clinton visit

Thousands of left-wing protesters chanting anti-American slogans have clashed with police and set dozens of shops ablaze at the start of a delayed state visit by US President Bill Clinton to Athens.

I lived in Germany in the 80’s. They hated US then, they hate US now, and until they get over their inferiority complex they always will hate US. So who cares? I don't.

I go by what my two Senators and Congressman send me in the mail about their positions on the issue and I look at the overall voter rolls for both Houses on the bills and it was being dealt with and would hav been finalized before the 2008 elections.

The only thing the Republicans can do at this point is to stuff that bill with pork for their respective districts and states. That's what being a minority deals you.

As for the president, if you were not aware of his position on immigration before he took office in 2000, then you simply were not paying attention. The only thing we had going for us was a Republican majority in both Houses. Without that, we get amnesty. It was a bad poker hand to let the Republicans become the minority.

Starting with the border.

I don't like the open borders either, but to imply that Bush damaged them is nonsense. The borders were damaged looooooong before Bush ever got into office.
