It's mere speculation. But interesting.

It is not interesting in the least...and it is not mere speculation....It is 100% DEM/MSM propaganda being pushed to try and further plant the notion of GWB as a failure and the GOP looking as if all their wheels are coming off.

Fred Thompson will likely be the GOP nominee in 08 - He is a firm supporter of GWB (on almost all issues outside of immigration).....

If the GOP runs away from GWB (on the whole) in 08...they will lose.....just as they did in 06.

Uh, does anyone know who this guest was?

I’d be surprised if Bush weren’t invited to speak at the convention. He shouldn’t be, but he probably will be. Boldness is not exactly characteristic of the RNC “suits.”

I wouldn’t even let him in the building.

Bush’s approval rating could be 5% and he’d still be invited to speak at the GOP convention. He’ll be there.

Agree that no matter what he'll be invited (even if he is not featured very prominently).

I've got some speech suggestions for him:

"Eight years ago, I stood before you and pledged that I would be a uniter, and not a divider.

"Today, I stand before you and proudly proclaim that I fulfilled this pledge -- I succeeded in uniting the peasants of Mexico and Central America with United States voting rights!"

I can't find any confirmation of this.

I can't find a post by you before today.

Interesting screen name.

In answer to your question, it would make The Base VERY happy.

I hear thunder.

Distance from spending and other dumb moves like Harriet, Dubai and any of the other tone deaf things this RINO has done.

It would be a huge embarrassment, if he did show up to give a speech and 3/4 of the delegates either booed him or walked out.

Such F'ing drivel. GWB is enormously liked and respected within the GOP base (even with the majority disagreeing with him on immigration....a 30 year in the making problem).

The reality is our base is enormously grateful for his leadership in the WOT.

All these type stories are for is well planted DEM/MSM propaganda....(that many fools in our base fall for and hyper ventilate over).

As I said, it would make The Base VERY happy. Exactly what they're hoping for. Only way they can win.

Yerah but you don't understand this totally BS, troll post: they're not REFERRING to "the base", they are referring to The Base.

Literal translation of al Qaeda? Yeah, so I've studied terrorism for over thirty years, but COME ON PEOPLE, YOU'RE NOT EVEN TRYING TO DISGUISE THE FACT THAT THIS IS A POST WORTHY OF CINDY/LEW!

At least he dissed Putin!

Yea, but only because Bush was told ahead of time that Putin opposes Amnesty too.

He also managed to unite the right and left against the immigration abomination.

Come on, you don't mean that and you know it.

I didn't even observe such hatred towards the sleazy Clinton as exists towards President Bush. Iraq, amnesty, and many more huge failures.
