PETRIFIED PARIS HILTON mouthed “I love you” to her parents last night — before being carted off to face a hostile reception in prison.....[snip]
[snip]Prisoner number 9818783 was put back in her special cell — isolated from other inmates — amid fears the angry lags could RIOT over her special treatment.
Wardens even ordered a lockdown as prisoners — who think Paris pretended to be sick to con doctors — threatened a revolt.
An insider at the prison in Lynwood, California, said: “The women inside the jail are seething. They say if you’re a rich white girl you get special treatment.
“They are furious that while Paris had her own special cell with a panic button, was given better food and was kept away from the general population, she was still released early.
“There are girls in here with cancer, TB, and with MRSA. They aren’t allowed to go home and are treated by prison medical staff.
“The prisoners think if you’re rich and pretend you’re sick you can get away with murder.
“Many of the girls have been locked down in their cells all day because they are so furious. The jail is full of screams about Paris.
“Prison bosses fear this could simmer over into violence.”
Ex-inmate Lisa Caprie said she suffered a nervous breakdown inside but was kept there.
She said: “We heard Paris was treated like the Queen of England. It’s not fair. My husband fought to get me out when I had a breakdown but they didn’t listen.”
And Elana Lamb, set free with an ankle tag, said Paris made a nuisance of herself by repeatedly pressing a medical alert button.
Lamb, 38, said: “She was just whining, complaining she was cold and hungry.”............."

Well, I guess I cannot argue that point. Some folks have a peculiar honor system in the can. They'll go after snitches, rival gang members, and people who stroll in there and talk sh*t. Paris is about as tough as vanilla pudding. There is no "honor" in beating up a basket case. Regular people survive by just keeping their mouths shut, and blending in. My bf was sh*tting bricks when he went in, but he's a cool guy and there was no problem. Same with my ex brother in law. When there was a race riot, the guards hid him, being white and all ;)
We never heard of panic buttons in cells before today. I can see why they'd be needed in certain circumstances, though.
Yeah, I got that part. There are 12 months in a year. I was just curious if it was after her DUI arrest or before.
She doesn’t have to worry about that, being in a unit with only 12 cells and “high end” inmates. But I see your point. Yikes.

Again, it is HIGHLY likely that the charge of which she was convicted follows the form of most other laws in that it will have a MAXIMUM amount of time/fine/sanction etc. In simpler terms, this means the judge cannot arbitrarily impose a "1 mil" fine, and the fine that the law does allow would top out at an amount that would be completely below her notice.
But hey, its fun to say that a judge is "whoring" for the media and pretend that we know more than he does about his job, huh?
TMZ reporting that Paris issued a statement saying there will be no appeal. There’s a new thread on it.
They will readily snitch each other off in a second. Most of them are pathetic and were really rescued from the outside world.
The really dangerous ones are those who are transported alone or aboard an aircraft in small groups, unlike those who arrive en mass like common cattle on a bus.
Paris needs someone who can roll one down far enough to read the serial numbers... and I'm not interested...

The person I’m really surprised about is Sheriff Baca. That guy is cold hearted, so someone higher up could have tapped him on the shoulder. He held a news conference and I missed it. I’ll see if they show it on the late news tonight.
Quite a departure from her "glamorous" booking photo, eh? The stark distinction between this and the confidence displayed in her booking photo leads me to strongly suspect that when the booking photo was taken, the fix was already in and she knew she would be out in a day or two. Her pictures before the Friday hearing on the other hand betray the fact that the family was caught with no cards in their hands.

Interesting speculation but irrelevant in this case.
We are dealing with the here and now...some of the prisoners who are in for violating probation and drunk driving, should suddenly get horribly sick and freak out, panic, climb the walls, then beg Sheriff Baca to send them home with ankle bracelets. See if "the Paris plea" gets them anywhere. I guarantee you, it won't.

Personally, I find her and her friends boring. I never have been able to understand our fascination with celebrities.
Administrative segregation unit... yep... still a matter of security for the staff... cops ain't stupid, even if they are in jail for doing something stupid... they have nothing to lose at that point...

I know you're talking about celebrities, and I did throw a few in there, but the judicial system is a joke. Let's see what happens to cold cash Jefferson when all is said and done. Libby vs Burglar, anyone?

I did a couple of searches. Stuff linking Baca with Scientology, and it seems that his dept was accused of deleting Mel Gibson’s anti semitic remarks from one of the arrest files and saying that his arrest occured with no incident. According to one site Gibson taped a PSA for Baca’s relief committee.
