Leslie Moonves, CBS chief executive, on Tuesday suggested that sexist attitudes were partly to blame for the faltering performance of Katie Couric, the news anchor he recruited to the network with a $15m annual pay package.
“I’m sort of surprised by the vitriol against her. The number of people who don’t want news from a woman was startling,” Mr Moonves said of the audience’s reaction to Ms Couric, who this month brought ratings for the CBS Evening News to a 20-year low.

It wouldn’t have anything at all to do with the fact she’s a mental lightweight, bitter, and liberal to a fault. I personally choose not to watch any of the TV news anymore, but if I did, it wouldn’t be the gender that enticed me but rather just who had the better graphics and colors.

The Walter Cronkite crowd is dying. Dan Rather got the ones who made it to retirement. The “Show” is over. It will take them forever to get it. She was much better off with the lazy crowd in the morning.

He accuses the entire public of sexism - when he, as part of the completely unrecontructed good ol’boy media honcho club - decides that he can put this mindless twerp in as anchor and it’ll work because she’s a woman. “Hey, Les - let’s put a woman in there, yeah...any woman will do, maybe a cheerleader type just for fun. They’ll have to accept her - else we’ll accuse them of sexism.”
Usually, Leftist scumbags get away with putting unqualified people in positions they don’t deserve, using coercive power to mash it in our faces - but they forgot that in this case - people have a choice in who and what they watch.

Maybe they could add Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, so they could add racism to their list of blames why they are failing. And they still wouldn’t get it.
Maybe they should look at their crown jewel, Dan Rather...caught in lie, after lie, then has the nerve to wear out his stay with them. I stopped watching SEE BS some time ago.
