This reminds me of just how much time has gone by since I was very active at FR. I had no idea that Brian was ill. Now I hear that he has gone to be with the Father and I didn't even get to say so long. It seems that all the good ones are passing over.

This is the way I will always remember Tonk.

Oct 3 marks my 5th "Anniversary" in the Coast Guard Auxiliary I have reported for "duty" to Coast Guard Motor Lifeboat Station Coos Bay OR at least one day, every single week, often times more, since Oct 3 2001 To: hedgetrimmer I just wanted to let you know I met with the Flotilla Commander today and it turns out that I have a few skills that they need and can utilize. I'm so very saddened to hear of Tonk's death. I have always enjoyed reading his posts; he was such a patriot. He was so proud to be able to serve this country after 9/11.

I was thinking about him the other day, when I realized I hadn't seen any posts of his lately. I'm sure he's in God's loving arms this night, and I'll pray for the repose of his soul, and peace for his family.
