Good. I hope the players can sue him. I also hope other prosecutors are paying attention, and that some of them might be dissuaded from misusing their authority like he did. The same should happen to Patrick Fitzgerald.

He's been testifying all day at his bar hearing.

I think his resignation is designed to ameliorate his sins in the eyes of the bar......thus having a better chance to retain his law license.

I was watching and saw that.

I do not know why it is NEVER mentioned that he brought those charges two weeks BEFORE his election. And, he won with a plurality of black voters.

This is the REAL disgrace.

We’ve been watching his testimony all day and talking about it over at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1850745/posts?q=1&;page=266#266

His resignation made it SO worth it...

Big deal.

This just means that the Bar assn. is gonna take it easy on him. He was given a talking to in a back room and told if he resigned that they would jsut give him a slap on the wrist.

Of the lawyers, by the lawyers, and for the lawyers.

Would like to see text of Reid Seligman’s testimony on the stand. I heard it was very scathing.

Scathing and very, very emotional. He described the moment when he and his father found out she had picked him as one of the attackers (his father fell on the floor) and then when he had to call and tell his mother that news. I had tears streaming down my face.

Disbarred, prosecuted, sent to jail for a long long time!

He clearly knowingly and intentionally abused his position for political purposes!

Honestly, capital punishment should be on the table for such abuse as far as I’m concerned.

So Nifong resigned in tears. Tough. If Seligman had been MY boy and broken down on the stand today, there would not have been enough of Nifong left to sweep up, far less for him to resign. Teeth, hair and eyeballs all over the court house floor - all Nifong’s. Ain’t it nice to see the job he lied and cheated and committed criminal acts to get ripped away from him on national TV!! Ain’t America great!!
