The administration, hoping to appease Republicans who demand fiscal restraint...

Obviously he can't be talking about Republicans in Congress.

Give him some credit, at least he is threatening to veto.

Talk is cheap, and in this case actions would be hypocritical.

Granted it could be better, however it could be much worse also.

As the President has shown through his actions over the last 7 years.

Yes, he did cut some tax rates. To offer some guidance, any
bill that contains non-federal spending must be veto’d-no exceptions.

If Congress wants pork for their own State projects, let them
raise taxes on a local level.

“Cheney seems to have disappeared again, I can only take that to mean he’s not interested in peddling the President’s latest brainchild...”

There are days when I truly do long for a President Cheney. Increasingly, in fact.

I could have sworn I just read that Bush would veto runaway spending. Nah. Couldn’t be.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Jorge, you've a wonderful knack for comedic timing! But were where you, pray tell, the past six years when government spending ballooned under your watch? We'll believe it when we see it.

It’s a shame he didn’t do this while the pubbies were in charge in congress...

Maybe spending really would have been cut...

The pubbies had been spending like a drunken teenager at the moonlight bunny ranch with his daddy’s gold platinum card!
