Before the Senate passed the H-1B doubling bill (S.1723), Sen. Thompson had an opportunity to vote for a measure requiring U.S. firms to check a box on a form attesting that they had first sought an American worker for the job. Sen. Thompson voted against that.

He also voted YES on granting normal trade relations status to Vietnam while he was well aware of our POWs and MIAs.

Here are some more polls for you to look over.

Your polls are more believable.

Another important question to ask is how and why a man who is not currently a member of the U.S. government is obtaining access to current and former heads of foreign countries (Israel and Great Britain)?

“I even think Chertoff has dual citizenship.”

Wow. Maybe that’s why he’s not so interested in our sovereignty.

Can you have dual citizenship and be head of homeland security?

“Can you have dual citizenship and be head of homeland security?”

I never heard otherwise, but don’t really know.

****Don’t tell that to the fredbots, they still think that he’s a real conservative.****

PSST! Don’t tell the Duncan Hines crowd that their candidate has a whole 1% of the GOP vote! How much support across the entire country? Maybe 1/3% or 1/4%? Doen’t matter to them.... WE CAN DO IT!!

Is this what you call “denial”? PSST! Don’t bother them right now, they are busy having a “victory party”!

“Well then do your part to make sure that he does increase in the polls.”

What makes you assume that I am not doing my part? Talking about it on freep (not complaining) is just one of those things. Unfortunately, my last name is not Gates or Limbaugh or Hannity so I do not have the ability to move mass amount of people’s opinion or give a lot of money or conduct fund raisers.

I do my part, but I’m also a realist knowing that it is a drop of water in the sea. I hope that he moves in the polls and perhaps with more presidential debates he will. As for my comments about his catch 22 situation, I am just telling the truth. Again, not complaining. If you can’t handle the truth (ala Jack Nicholson) then that is your problem, not mine. I’m hoping against hope, but there has to be a spike in his numbers soon to get people energized. I believe that when Thompson officially announces it is going to take the air out of a lot of other candidates. I hope that does not happen to Hunter or Huckabee.

My choice in 2000 was Dr. Alan Keyes. However, I was a realist then also.

LOL. Sorry, I wasn’t criticizing, just trying to be encouraging.

No problem Rob.

I don’t like complainers either and maybe I came across as such. I did not mean to complain if it sounded that way. I was just laying out the situation as it currently is. No matter what you or I do it probably will not help out a whole lot in the great scheme of things to get Hunter elected. He has to break through somehow and get his message out to the republican base.

Unfortunately, not as many people are into the elections this early as you or I might be. The best we can do is tell friends and family about him and just try to spread the word.

However, I do not go into it with rose colored glasses. It’s an uphill battle. I actually have more hope that my other favorite (Huckabee) can gain traction. I think he’s at 3% in the polls. I know Fred will gain traction and while he may not be perfect. He is a far better option than the top three.
