>>Take Perot out, and Bush won

That’s completely absurd assertion and your figures simply don’t support it. There is another list of states where Perot’s vote was larger than Clinton’s margin. So without Perot, Bush would have won those states? No, of course not.

You are starting with a ridiculous premise - that if Perot had not run all of his supporters would have voted Bush. There is not the slightest argument to support this, which I guess is why you did not state the argument openly. Instead you cut and pasted some irrelevant figures.

The figures that count are these: the total vote in 1992 was up, because people who reject the two party system had someone to vote for. Without Perot these people would not have voted. Just like they didn’t vote in 1988.

Bush’s vote was down on 1988, but this was his own fault, not Perot’s. Read my lips, Bush’s fault.

Around 50% of Perot’s voters would still have voted if he had not been a candidate. And they would have split pretty evenly between Clinton and Bush. Common sense suggests this, and polling at the time tended to back it up.

If it was all down to Perot, how do you explain the fact that Clinton’s vote was up on Dukakis’s, despite the three way split?

WAS MAYOR BLOOMBERG BEHIND THE DIOR WHEN STYLE WAS PASSED OUT?

Five-foot-two, eyes of blue
But oh, what kooky klothes can do
Has anybody seen The Mayor?

Shirt of rose, bright red hose
No style? Yes, sir, one of those
Has anybody seen The Mayor?

Now if you run into a five-foot-two without any flair
Wearing diamond rings with clashing things
Bet your life it is Da Mare

It must be true in clothes he's phew
But can he coochie-coochie-coo?
Has anybody seen Da Mare?

Leni

Bloomberg is not a man with vision that wants to lead. He is someone that is so arrogant and full of himself that he thinks he knows how everyone else should lead their lives and he has to tell (force) them. The guy is the last thing I would want in a president, not to mention his looney liberal views

James J. Walker, a real dressy mayor, must be rolling (or maybe drinking) in his grave.
