Cheney must be alright. Look at all the frothing from the leftists. C’mon, that right there is enought to keep VP Cheney around.

In the words of Dan Cook, this doesn’t even make good nonsense.

The Dems would have better luck sending the Vice-President bacon, butter and lard.

You had better be a whole lot more worried about the white Muslim population in your own town.

Another brilliant post on FR. Are you a democrat?

Sure impeach the man. That will solve all your problems.
Has your urge to lambast Bush paled and you need new high since nobody pays any attention anymore to the bash Bush postings.

The answer? Of course, join the democrat side and destroy the presidency. Impeach - yeah - just what FR has always stood for - impeaching a GOP president in the last year of his presidency. Great PR, makes the voters just want to put a GOP in office - em.....sure it does.

Just bring in a new guy for a year and let him stew around with the office of President of the United States. And of course he will be able to handle the media, the liberals, the majority of democrats, the war, immigration, social security, and on and on.

Oh, I forgot, it would take a year to get the impeachment handled wouldn’t it? Yeah, that will tie the democrats up and prevent them doing anything - of course they would really reap a bonanza of pr from that move. I can hear them now.

We must clean house, we are starting right now to do that with impeachment and then we will put a democrat in there. You have had the GOP running all parts of government - we must never let that happen again.

Give me a break. How old are you?

Yeah, I’d like to hear the names of all these Republicans questioning how to remove Vice President Cheney from office. This is just a wet dream of Quinn and her chattering class pals.

This article is ridiculous.

First of all how many times have we heard during the past 6 or so years that Cheney’s dpearture was imminent and that Bush was planning on dumping him?

Secondly, dumping Cheney would drop Bush’s approval ratings into the teens.

Third, imagine how rigorous a VP confirmation process would be. Not only would you have to put up with the Senate characters, but the radicals in the House.

All with just under 2 years left? Makes no sense.

Many thanks to the poster and to the pinger of this nonsense. I can go to bed laughing at the absurdity of Ms.
Quinn’s little middle school article.

I love Dick [Darth] Cheney. He makes little puddles of pee appear by moonbats’ little talons—er—feet.

If ONLY they could get rid of him, if only...why, they could RULE THE WORLD! Muawahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Even if Bush nominates a replacement, the Democrat-controlled Senate could hold up the confirmation

While your main point is correct, the procedure you mentioned is not, according to the 25th amendment to the Constitution:
AMENDMENT XXV
Section 2.
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

"laughs"

Remember when all the lib media "geniuses" were predicting the ouster of Condi Rich a few years back? They were falling all over themselves analyzing her downfall and how the Republicans were going to handle it. Supposedly she was going to take the blame for not finding Hussein's storehouses of wmds. Obviously it never happened. As the Cheney ouster won't happen.

Cheney can’t drag down the party and ensure a Dem win next year. Bush has a lock on that job.

The Left has just gone totally bonkers over Cheney flexing his muscles on this separation of powers issue. It’s pretty hilarious.

How about we oust Bush and make Cheney President. THAT would make much more sense. Then perhaps we could bring Thompson in as VP, set him up for the Presidency! That’s a fantasy I could live with!!

May be. This could explain why Ben Bradlee looks so worn out these days.
