Voinovich did, finally, vote the right way on this bill. I’d consider him like Stevens, except, as you note, unlike Stevens he is not up for re-election currently.
Frankly, I’m already resigned to seeing another Democrat in his seat in 2011. The Ohio Republican Machine seems dead set on grinding the Republican party down in the state until it looks like Massachusetts.
Voinivich proved his stupidity on Hannity yesterday. He should go. And of course Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd should go. But will they ever?
“Simply voting against them for a dummycrat will screw us in a different way.”
Indeed. That’s why my main target is the state Republican Party. My message, run somebody besides Lott if you want a Republican candidate because I will stay home before I vote for Lott. When Republicans continue to run candidates like him, a Democrat deserves to win. Landreiu(D) from Louisiana had no problem voting against this bill.
Did anyone catch his speech today on the floor just before reid's speech and the vote? What a lowly bastard.
Well, I’m told I was wrong about Martinez being up for election, but replacing Craig, Graham or Hagel with a primary opponent would HELP keep the seat. They are in three of the five most Republican states in the nation.

Are you also in favor of granting those here amnesty and citizenship?
From what I have read, he will not make it that long.
Even now he speaks like a drooling idiot who can barely tie his shoes. I wouldn't want to think of how he will be in a few years. The man is confused needs help immediately.
Two or three months ago I read somewhere that Lott was thinking about retiring. I hope it becomes reality! Saddly he will be around until 2012.
Since Martinez seems to be one of the “untouchable” for now perhaps it’s time to pressure the RNC to dump Mel as General Chairman...a new campaign we can call “No Money for Mel’s Minions”.
Term limits would take out the rascals!
I would add VOINOVICH (sp?) to your list. Despite his finally blowing with the wind to vote nay, I heard him on Sean yesterday... what a total a$$*@#$.
Not Sanford - he is doing a good job as governor and being governor puts him a better position to run for the presidency in 2012 or 2016 (He is young enough). He was approached about 2008, but has young children and didn’t want to become an absentee father.

I called Feinsteins and Boxers office and insisted on enforcement of our current laws. I also said I would actively work to deport them from the Senate.
I then called Sessions, Demint, Inhofe, Vitter, and Cornyn’s office and told them.....big thank yous! Now the American people have been loud and clear, we want the current laws enforced! That should be the new rallying cry. We have the momentum now, let’s use it! Up to 30 million illegals in this country is unacceptable to me.
These guys have huge warchests, and full Party support in the Primaries. Until we’re ready to vote against them in aGeneral Election, we might as well admit they’re there for life and we approve of what they do.
Lindsey Grahamnesty (RINO-Mexico) should be number 1. OK South Carolina conservatives, find us a primary opponent!
