The assignment? Come up with the best games in each of the 14 weeks of the upcoming college football season. The usual suspects are there: Red River Shootout, the game formerly known as the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, Bowden Bowl and Third Saturday in October. If the 21 matchups aren't enough, we threw in a delicious appetizer: a potential upset for every week in the season.
Week 1 Sept. 1: Tennessee at California (8 p.m. ET, ABC) It has to be more competitive than last season's matchup at Neyland Stadium, which the Volunteers won 35-18. Upset alert: Oklahoma State over Georgia (6:45 p.m., ESPN2)
Week 2 Sept. 3: Florida State at Clemson (8 p.m., ESPN) Tigers coach Tommy Bowden has beaten Daddy (Florida State's Bobby Bowden) in each of the last two "Bowden Bowls" and three of four overall. A key ACC contest under the lights on Labor Day night, followed by a few beverages at The Esso Club.

It’s baaaaack......:)
BTW, if any of you have a problem with my graphic(s) on the ping list by all means don’t hesitate to let me know—since I’ve probably just pissed off all the Michigan fans on the list by posting a pic of the Horseshoe.
GO SUN DEVILS!!!
ROLL TIDE!
Do I need to request to be added to this ping list?
ROLL TIDE!
Yeah, go ahead and send me a FReepmail message to remind me.
When my Yellow Jackets play the Catholics in South Bend, I think there will be a major upset brewing. Gonna’ be a real barn burner too!
As a fan of the King of Tier 2 teams. We always look forward to the punt-a-thon that is the TCU vs. SMU game. I think they call it the Iron Skillet Bowl. Essentially its the Fort Worth(Tarrant County) vs. Dallas game. Then TCU has been booking Big 12 teams each year for the purpose to show that they belong there and WTF is Baylor doing there. So far they are undefeated up of recent few years. This year starts with Baylor in then the big dog of Big 12 Texas. So it should be pretty good to see how the Horne Frogs hold up.
Real Tigers are ORANGE!
GO C-L-E-M-S-O-N!!
the Frogs play UT this year in Austin, is that right? I think if they can find a way to win that game, they’ll run the table.
Heck, if it hadn’t been for SMU in ‘05 they would have done it then also.
College Football cannot get here soon enough! Thanks for the ping.
Gig ‘em Aggies
Whoop!
OSU will NOT upset the DAWGS at home!
Do we know what happened to MikefromOhio? The last I post I see is right before the big game.
Gig em Aggies
Please explain something to me, as I really don't understand the concept of letting your hatred of one single person or institution override your love of the one that you seem to identify with.
It seems to be an overwhelming fixation especially with TAMU and OU fans, that their centralized hatred of UT spills out in places where it would seem to be somewhat misplaced. I don't understand why it never fails that when watching one of these fine institutions playing in a football game against TCU or Baylor, upon the occasion of the crowd pan after a score, the fan base almost always seems to be waving the old-fashioned "Horns Down" sign in the stands.
While I realize, especially as evidenced last year, that actually beating UT in football will keep an Aggie fan happy for approximately 27.5 years, I personally didn't notice any UT fans screaming "Aggies Suck!" during the crowd pan at the Rose Bowl as Vince strolled in for the winning TD.
Just different expectations, I guess...
I am a little confused as to how simply typing “Gig ‘em Aggies” causes you to launch into a dissertation about how morally superior Longhorn fans are to the rest of the college football world. As a sports fan, I want to beat the hell out of t.u. everytime we meet up. I don’t see what is so controversial about that.
The University of Texas is liberal, with an affluent alumni base. Texas A&M University is a Conservative institution with a more rural alumni base. The 10% rule is changing that at both schools, but historically this is pretty accurate.
In response to your “question” that you seem to already have the answer to, the arrogant and condescending attitude displayed by fans of the University of Texas contributes greatly to the “hatred” of the University of Texas.
That's what I thought. You guys really need to find something positive to feed on, such as rooting FOR your school as opposed to obsessing AGAINST something else. All of that negativity will kill you in the long run.
GO IRISH!!!
