That’s the 3rd time you’ve called me “Mary”—and have avoided answering the question. Are you mentally disabled?

IMHO, it’s much better to get all of the negative things about Fred Thompson out there right now before Fred even officially enters the ‘08 Presidential race. Everybody will know soon enough either how well or how poorly Fred Thompson will do with his ‘08 Presidential run. There will be many angry and many upset conservatives all over the U.S. if Fred Thompson truly does poorly with his Presidential run. The bar of expectations for Fred Thompson may already be way too high to begin with, and this is what presently concerns me about Fred Thompson.

BTW - Bush has a pretty good record in this regard...

1) Weeks after taking office, he passed Connor’s Law which established that it IS a person in that womb, and a double homocide when a pregnant mother is murdered.

2) Outlawed Partial Birth abortion.

3) Appointed judges that upheld the ban on partial birth abortion when it was immediately challenged by the left.

Not bad, while fighting the WOT, saving the economy, lowering unemployment, increasing the standard of living and spending 24/7 defending himself against relentless leftist drivel...

Not so hot in some other area’s, but proved a President can make a difference here.

Nobody else in the field is honestly worth discussing, whether we like to hear it or not. Discussing Hunter or Tancredo is like discussing what you’d do if you won the lottery: It’s a lot of fun fantasizing, but it’s just not going to happen.

I still contend that Hunter is either running for the '12 nomination or a VP slot. Not only is he too obscure to emerge from a pack of senators and governors, he's not running like someone who wants to win in '08.

While Fred Thompson may not be the conservative with ideas exactly the same as mine, he has my vote. If I wanted a candidate that thinks exactly as I do, I would have to throw my own hat in the ring and I ain't runnin'.

(Not even if drafted)

Another crock of crap. You are now saying that all conservatives must aim at the federal level to outlaw abortion nationally, and that seeking the overturn of Roe v Wade is not good enough.

You are entitled to your opinion, but the LIE in your post is that Thompson is not a conservative because he doesn't agree with you on this.

Sorry, but it annoys me to see someone creating a litmus test that no one can pass, and using it to claim a very conservative candidate is not a conservative.

Viguerie’s article is not without merit.

Thompson needs to keep clarifying and defending positions conservatives want to hear or he is another Bush I or II.

I hope to be happy.

Is Viguerie on record for anyone yet?

"Where does he stand on free trade with China?"

He "voted YES on permanent normal trade relations with China." I'll post some of the facts again for all readers here (although there's much more out there). My main concern is for our defense (see facts at the bottom of this comment). Iran is building a nuclear arsenal and will proliferate, if we don't stop it.

Familyop is the most famous diehard Hunter fan and Thompson flame thrower at FR.

Nobody here takes him seriously anymore...

He’s been called out so many times that it’s lost its entertainment value.

Well gee whiz, I’m glad you’ve picker your guy.
First, when I said I was responding to inaccurate information I was discussing this thread and the comments made herein, not your post. You came to this thread and directed another poster to your list of supposed willing censors and a cherry picked list of votes.

All of which is within your right, but my pointing out that defaming the character of another candidate’s supporters does nothing to help your chosen candidate does not make me a “hysterical, screaming, entertainment worshiper”. (I believe the shorter way to say that is “fan”.)

I have posted many facts, here and elsewhere, along with my rhetorical ripostes at those who think they can pass off sound bites and half truths.

Enjoy your day.

Don't mistake me. I think Thompson is highly qualified man and I think this is typical of what I would expect.

I also think Duncan Hunter is a highly qualified man and I expect the same types of hit pieces on him.

Duncan Hunter has a military record. It is important to me - thats all.
