Deniers of global warming harm us (Global warming deniers bigger danger than holocaust deniers!!!)
Seattle-PI ^ | 7/10/2006 | Joel Connelly

Posted on 07/11/2007 6:07:51 AM PDT by Proud_USA_Republican

AS THE WORLD'S scientists near consensus on human causes of climate change, even Exxon is cutting contributions and distancing itself from the global warming denial industry.

The deniers haven't conceded defeat, and lately have found a substitute for the "sound science" they once demanded. Their new tactic is the drive-by shooting.

The objective is distraction, to be achieved by demeaning the oracles, particularly the "Goreacle," of global warming.

As a new and radical religion, it's only natural that they brand disbelievers and skeptics as "infidels" or "heretics". They may use different terms, but that's what, in essence, they are doing.

Proud infidel here...

Earth first! We will mine the rest of the planets later...

“A single kingdom; who will be king?”

My Rusian grandfather said that in the valley of the blind, the one-eyed man was king.

Hello my FRiend,

How have you been treating the world?

Am I the only one who sees a disturbing resemblance between the article author’s picture and Michael Moore? Who would have guessed that Moore had a shaven, evil twin?

I’m glad you asked. Throught is an ancient Sanskrit word that really doesn’t have any precise precise in english. The closest we can get is the phase...”Use spell check you moron.”

Hope this hepls

I can see Connelly hasn't changed a bit since I used to read him for a laugh in my Seattle days. Still a pumped-up little goose-stepper all for diversity as long as it isn't of opinion, and anyone who disagrees with him must either have ulterior motives or simply be eeevil. That, alas, is about the depth of political discourse in that one-party town. A pity, really.

In point of fact the issue is still very much in flux scientifically, which is one reason the eco-zealots are starting to hedge their bets by moving the party line from "global warming" to "climate change." When your Global Warming conference is postponed for snow you end up looking like the idiot you probably are; when you can fall back on "climate change" it tends to help you evade the obvious questions, at least for awhile.

It lasts until somebody has the courage to point out that climates do change; otherwise we'd still be growing wheat in Algeria and wine grapes in England. What is ironic is the plaintive insistence that it is the mean old capitalist KKKorporation Exploiters Of The Earth who are responsible for meddling in matters beyond their understanding; in fact, that very same course of action is precisely what the Greens are pushing. End carbon emission? Good luck with that. And if we could it would do what, precisely? Well, we have a computer model here and a computer model there, which bear approximately the same resemblance to the real world as a Super Mario game does to your morning commute.

What is irritating is not that True Believers such as Connelly have bought into the entire thing - stupidity ought to be painful but it isn't. What is irritating is that he preaches a stifling, politically correct orthodoxy that may not be challenged lest the challenger wind up in the lead role in an auto da fé in the name of the Goddess of Tolerance. It's self-parody, really, the cruelest parody of them all.

The writer can do that and get accolades from the orthodoxy because this isn’t about science at all...not one bit. It’s about politics.

"Throught is an ancient Sanskrit word"

Amazing! Why are you changing the subject to something exciting like "Sanskirt?"

“Solution:
Eliminate about 4 Billion humans.
I figure we’re all on the list.
Well, except those in the service industries.
Someones got to serve veggie burgers to the elite surviving inheritors of the Earth.”

Here’s a possible solution to several problems:

LIBERALS - THE NEW WHITE MEAT. Perhaps the basis of a new Madison Avenue ad campaign. After all, it’s called Mad Ave for a reason.

Put a bounty on ‘em to encourage sport hunting of Liberals by those who either won’t eat Long Pig or can’t afford the arm length rubber gloves so essential to the dressing and cleaning of one of those things.

;-)

Not sure about the long pig thing..

However, we could package it and sell it to China as "back bacon"..
