We're in too deep with Islamo-Fascism
Greeley Tribune ^ | 7/17/07 | Bob Boswell

A little more than 70 years ago, the most tolerant, safe haven for Jews in all Europe suddenly found itself a totalitarian state. No vast legions had conquered it. In fact, it was a failed artist whose ideas were so crazy the threat simply wasn't believed by polite society. In just a few years, this lunatic nearly conquered all of Europe.

It's often asked, "If only they'd stopped Hitler earlier..." Well "they" didn't. Pacifism and fear caused the world to wait while Hitler grew ever stronger. Leaders diddled while the world was drawn into a war that caused 50 million deaths.

Hitler is not ancient history. Some of you were among the 11,000,000 Americans who had to fight in WWII.

Today we are being fed the same sort of disinformation and apologies for Islamo-Fascism. Shall we diddle now?

The latest video from Imam al Zawahiri (the number two man in al-Qaida) explains his plans in detail... al-Qaida IS leading the insurgency in Iraq. The faithful are not doing well militarily because of those pesky Americans, but fear not. Just listen to the debate in America. The faithful only need to hold on and Allah will convince the infidels to abandon Iraq. Then Israel, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia will fall and al Qaida will rule an Islamic caliphate that spans the Middle East.

Don't believe him? The World paid a terrible price for not believing Hitler.

WHEN we abandon Iraq, al-Qaida will be the most organized force in the area. The Iraqi people aren't doing enough today with all of our assistance. They'll fold in the face of a real threat.

Is this the right war? Are we there for the right reasons? Who cares? That's yesterday's debate. George Bush may be the worst President ever, the most stupid leader in history and may even be guilty of impeachable acts. History will decide.

Regardless, Bush won't be president on January 21, 2009. However, we'll still be dealing with Islamo-Fascism. We are in way too deep now.

But we don't wanna be in too deep, so we will abandon Iraq. So what? Well, now you know. Al-Zawahiri just told us that al-Qaida WILL win if we abandon Iraq. They plan on controlling the Middle East and no one will stop them. We will give al-Qaida a country they could never have taken to launch their jihad and the victory they need to assume the leadership position over hundreds of millions of the world's least educated, most superstitious and most desperate people.

Terrorism? It's a given no matter how nice we play or what we capitulate to. This is about their God, not our insensitivity. Welcome to the post 9-11 reality.

We won't automatically win the war against Islamo-Fascism by winning in Iraq. Whether we abandon Iraq or not, this war will be long and costly, but no war is ever "unwinnable." Like Vietnam, someone will win this.

Sometimes history just sneaks up on you. Our grandparents didn't want war with Hitler any more than we want war with Islamo-Fascists, but ignoring evil only allows it to grow stronger. This is the defining issue of our age. The battle is in Iraq and we'd better not lose there now.

So, do we have the will to save our way of life or will we surrender to fascists simply because they are more dedicated? That's the question our grandparents faced and we're still trying to duck.

Maybe there is hope, if ordinary folks like Bob get it, and can write so clearly about it.

I like the argument of the article, but it doesn’t go far enough. Even the author tries to be politically correct. Islam is the problem, not Islamo-facism. Until Islam is declared a politic movement rather than a religion, and outlawed, we won’t win.

This is right on but who will believe it? I just don’t understand how the whole world can be so naive.

Why are there so few of us who understand the consequences of withdrawing our troops from Iraq?

Islam and Nazism can be compared up to a point.
That point being- there was ONE Hitler, one main madman, and a lot of evil followers along with the German citizens who
allowed and supported their rise.

We now have MILLIONS of Hitlers with Islam. Each willing, and able, to do more killing than Hitler ever ,personally, did.
We also have the ‘good Muslims’ who allow, and support, their rise.
Why are the Muslims who don’t, actively, participate in terror-yet support it- labeled ‘good’? Did anyone dream of using the term ‘good Nazi’ for those who wanted Germany Uber Alles in WW2?

And the most frightening thing is that the world today doesn’t have the guts to oppose one Hitler, much less the millions it now faces.

One idea must be remembered when dealing with those on the Left who oppose the war in Iraq: they may not like the war, but most dislike GWB far more.
They see opposition to the war as a means to weaken and destroy his presidency, which they view as illegitimate. They can’t use the economy, which is doing well, so the war is the next best thing.
Whatever their stated motivation, they want power more than the want the war to end.
They want the White House back and they see the war as an issue that they can use to batter they way back into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Of course, they know Saddam was a brutal dictator - even they are not foolish enough to convert him into a Middle East Uncle Ho, whom they admired - but they don’t care.
To get back into power, the Left would make a deal with Lucifer.
And they people of Iraq - and ultimately the Middle East and the world - will have to suffer for the lust for power of a small group of Americans.

I agree with you, but you too do not go far enough. Islam is indeed a religion - a counterfeit religion, energized by “the one who was a murderer from the beginning.”

It really bothers me when I hear President Bush say Islam is a religion of peace. Salaam means peace, Islam means “submit!”

"Maybe there is hope, if ordinary folks like Bob get it, and can write so clearly about it."

Regarding Islam, I think most Americans do get it. The curse on us lies in the fact that our elected leaders don't get it, or they float above it all in some sort of elitist immunity. Sure, Bush leads the war in Iraq against islamofacism, and in Afghanistan, but he throws our borders wide open during a war with an enemy whose battle tactics are to infiltrate and cause terror. Our pourous borders represent our weakest spot in the war on terror, and Washington wants to keep them that way. Makes no sense whatsoever to me.

We hear on the one hand that the war in Iraq will keep the fight "over there". Then we read the Homeland Security report that al Quaida will focus its resources on attacking the U.S. While I support the war in Iraq, I never did understand the theory that it keeps al Quaida from coming to America, where the targets are far easier and safer than a direct confrontation with our military. As much as I'd like to see the deportation of illegals begin, I'd far prefer to see the deportation of muslims begin. The illegals want our money and benefits, the muslims want our heads.

To pull out is entirely wrong. To stay makes sense. It makes huge sense.

This Iraq was the hub against the west. The spokes are still there relatively unaffected. If the west were to back out, THEN these seventh century cavemen would be feverishly back at work, unimpeded. Then there would be hellfest 2008. Israel would be gone, then europe, basically, the CIVIL g8 nations and then America.

Iran is sitting there sheltering the al quaeda, and they have gotten strong. That nuclear toolbox Iran has been working on? Will pass hands and come to America. And,they will use it.

They are a silly people.

And to put things in perspective. These sandjockeys are striving to work in a technology from 60 years ago. They need to remind themselves of who owns the brains and technologies.

You know, a simple comparison...the nobel prize. Look to see how many times the two competing groups have won...jews? a disproportiant representation..more than a couple hundred vs. all mideasterners @2???? And then they call the prize racist....

Iran still owes big for 1979...
and they have been seeding jihadi discontent for over 30 years,,,but then again its consistent with the 1350 years of its anti christian cult

The world needs to rid itself of this staphococcal infection

And like staph, this islamic infection runs deep.

To leave without administering penicillin is wrong. The gloves have to come off.

“We hear on the one hand that the war in Iraq will keep the fight “over there”.”

I cringe every time I hear that. One attack on home soil would discount that and give the Dems more fodder.

He undermined himself here, failing to observe proper neo-con talking points protocol.

He's admitting that Saddam was not aligned with al-Qaeda, that those two were enemies, that only our invasion has helped al-Qaeda recruiting in Iraq and in the region.

Maybe the Weekly Standard could dispatch Fred Barnes to give him some help and keep the truth from spilling out in public.

I think most Americans do get it. The curse on us lies in the fact that our elected leaders don't get it,

I don't see how those can both be true, at least for very long.

The Pelotians and Reidies don't lie about their contempt for what America is trying to do. It's not like they're fooling anyone.

So the people who elect them know what they're getting.

So I have to believe they're getting what they want.

I agree with your premise, islam IS the problem. But I think it is more feasible to declare islam as a religion that is wholly incompatible with representative self-government and openly seditious to our Constitution. We can, legally outlaw this religion in our land, for the aforementioned reasons; we just need a Congress with backbone.

Saddam just kind of “hung” with the wrong crowd:

“The British and the American people loudly declared their support for their leaders decision to attack Iraq. It is the duty of Muslims to confront, fight, and kill them.”
Osama bin Laden, December 26, 1998

“Oh sons of Arabs and the Arab Gulf, rebel against the foreigner . . . Take revenge for your dignity, holy places, security, interests, and exalted values.”
Saddam Hussein, January 5, 1999

The socialist left won’t allow that to happen. If the gloves came off, America might actually win....and the socialist left can’t have that. It goes against their socialist world control agenda. What really scares me is the number of ignorant, stupid, unaware, head-in-the-sand people that we have in this country now. People that will support and enable the socialist left to defeat America from within.

Nope one big difference is that we bombed the germans into compliance..By the time we were in germany, most of the people were convinced they were done.. Unlike the Muzzies we havent done any really hard damage to convince them... We need another Dresden or Hamburg.. Then we may get through to these savages...
