Interesting. I recently told a party fund raiser caller that I was picking and choosing my donations more carefully, because of the way the leadership handled immigration amnesty.

The GOP stopped calling me years ago. I started sending back their silly little manipulative questionaires with CLOSE THE BORDER! scribbled across the page in big black Sharpie.

Saves a little money on postage, I guess they figured, so they took me off their sucker list.

I have not received any e-mail requests recently - after I started responding to them with my opinion. I still get some in the mail. (I don’t answer my phone unless I know the person/number calling.)

I continue to bombard the RNC and other Pub Senators with complaints that unless they protect our nation first, fence our borders, fire on drug illegals, win the war in Iraq, profile Muslim radicals and schools in the USA, I will never again send money to a general GOP organization. I will target my designations to those who I approve not who the Beltway bums approve.

A GOP fund raiser called me looking for a donation. All she could do was keep on saying that if I don't give money to the GOP, then Hillary Clinton would win the 2008 election. She used 4-5 variations of that theme during our call.

I told her that I am an angry conservative and that I was not going to give the party one thin dime, until they started listening to their base voters, even if it meant losing an election.

Maybe this is what the GOP needs to wake up. You would think that the 2006 elections would have stirred our GOP leadership up and gotten the message home to them. Apparently not.
