I've gone through French-bashing withdrawal since Sarkozy was elected.
“I’ve gone through French-bashing withdrawal since Sarkozy was elected.”
- Are you actually saying Sarkozy is a better president that Chirac?
thaN Chirac, sorry.
Yes.
“Yes.”
- Please elaborate on the subject.
Let's say you are choking in a restaurant and I perform the Heimlich maneuver, saving your life. Should you not be appreciative of my action because what I did was 'the right thing to do?'
Naw, why appreciate you? You probably just did it for yourself, because you didn’t want to have to eat with a corpse nearby..../roll eyes.
Finally, someone who gets it.
No, no...I see a difference between unpleasant circumstances, such as losing a line call, and more serious outcomes, such as being forced to go to France. Just as some suffer fools more lightly than others, some have a greater tolerance for body odor and condescending attitudes than others...one shouldn't judge.
We live for our civilized "brothers" and carry a big stick. True the government might have been looking at the global implications but the average American needs to know that our deeds are helping someone...and they can't have a war without us.
The French betrayal stabbed at the heart of America.
