Why is it that you read only half of the excuse?
In fact, why is it that you believe an excuse, but ignore the ideology?
Did the Soviets not have an excuse to take over Eastern Europe? Did they not blame all or most atrocities and wars on American Imperialism?

1. McCain flew the A-4 Skyhawk, a light bomber,, not the A-6 Intruder.
2. The USS Hornet (CV-8) was not at the Coral Sea and was not sunk at Midawy. You are thinking of the USS Yorktown. The USS Hornet (CV-8) was sunk at the Battle of Santa Cruz Island.
3. George HW Bush did not fly the F6F Hellcat fighter, but the TBF/TBM Avenger torpedo bomber.

Ok, i was relying on memory. Your point?

i'm quite familiar with Hornet's engagements, but not immune from error, thank you. i never claimed that Hornet was sunk at Midway, learn to read,

Now that you're through playing gotcha do you have an actual point to make?

I've read all of the fatwa. If you like, I could quote more of it, but that would only make my case stronger.

In fact, why is it that you believe an excuse, but ignore the ideology?

Because, whether Bin Laden considers it an excuse or not, the fact is that U.S. intervention in the middle east serves as a valuable recruiting tool for Al Qaeda.
