It’s going to be a very ugly and very sad weekend. I’ve been in prayer for the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this horrible tragedy. I wish some Democrats would join me.
They are saying 8 are missing now.

Not sure about that. The real stunner was the reduction from 7-9 dead to 4, this morning. We’re all sure that number will rise as they begin to pull the cars from the river.....
I am sure that there are some compassionate democrats there that are not political that are praying with you. I have to think that decency isn’t political, Sir.
Sorry to butt in, since I am not from there...but we are hurting for you guys all over the country.
My major (D) adversary at work, had tears in her eyes and gave me a big hug, this morning.

I’m sure there are too. But some of the ones in office and in media aren’t being so kind. I find it reprehensible.

Upon arriving in New Orleans, the president was welcomed by Mayor C. Ray Nagin, who accompanied him aboard a helicopter to the Iwo Jima, which is docked in front of the convention center that became a squalid shelter for thousands of evacuees in the first several days after the storm hit. Aboard the ship, Mr. Bush was greeted by Coast Guard Vice Adm. Thad W. Allen, who only days ago replaced the FEMA director as commander of the New Orleans relief efforts, and Lt. Gen. Russel Honore of the Army, who is in charge of military relief efforts along the Gulf Coast.
About an hour after he arrived in the city, Mr. Bush visited the Algiers neighborhood, across the river from the French Quarter, and a tent city set up by firefighters from across the country - including 353 members of the New York City Fire Department - on the campus of Our Lady of Holy Cross College.

I received an e-mail from a friend’s daughter, this morning.
She’s stationed at Kabul, Afghanistan.
She wanted to know if WE were OK.

It is unfortunate that the leaders of the state and the
media have chosen to make this into a circus of the most
hideous kind!
