You would think they had common sense, no wonder they need the help of the U.S. Press

“...decimated.” I like the sound of that.

I love it when a plan falls apart.

Allah must have been taking a nap when these jihadis decided to attack the US military instead of killing women and children.
To: Trueblackman
This is not a true frontal attack. If they hit three of four sides then it was a frontal and flank attack. From the sound of it they tried an ill-coordinated human-wave style of attack and got a serious asswhipping. No one said these cave dwellers were smart.

We have too many to choose from for 2007, so we will move this one to 2008.

Actually, decimated means killing one out of ten. Comes from the Roman practice of doing just that with soldiers if they failed in battle and needed extra motivation.

The common sense is to make senseless attacks against the world’s most powerful military and get the world's dumbest press (US Press) to report that Afghanistan is not stable, the Taliban is “regrouping” and US policy is a failure.
To: Trueblackman
Too bad they don’t have video!

Sheer sense of desperation. Hooray for the brave soldiers at Firebase Anaconda! BTW, I wonder what the South Koreans are prepared to give the Taliban in exchange for the hostages.

Even the US press couldn’t help these nuts...allah akbar and ciou.
To: Yo-Yo
Well we don’t shot them in back I guess, but a fuel air bomb over enemy forces is a wonderful thing.

I wonder if US forces use claymore mines for defensive positions these days.

don’t underestimate them. they may be poorly matched militarily, but they have a lot more patience than Americans. They will keep their experience and use it after we leave unless we are prepared to be there for a very long time.

An infantry charge against a fortified position? The Taliban should stop buying surplus Chinese tactical manuals from the Korean war. Mohammed Al-Pickets charge.
