I want to buy American goods. Why doesn’t capitalism provide them?

I was wondering the same. Toys required to have Made in China but products we ingest does not.

I want to buy American goods. Why doesn’t capitalism provide them? Because it doesn't have to.

“but products we ingest does not.”
Isn’t that odd?
And I was surprised that we weren’t aware that the pet food was Made in China - now I’m learning it’s what humans ingest, as well.

I’ve heard it does wonders for some of the larger breeds, for age related stiffness. What kind of dog do you have...a retriever of some sort?

Yeah, but the thing about capitalism is that all the entrepreneurs can fill the niche markets and everyone gets to make a profit and customers get what they want. What has gone wrong?
I don’t want to eat chickens grown here, processed in China, and then sent back here. It’s not safe food handling. I don’t want to eat oranges grown in Australia when the one’s grown within a few miles of my house taste better.
Something is not working right.

Interestingly enough, for purchases of the food supplement “SAM-e” only Nature Made was recommended to me as the best quality and most beneficial, with the claim that other suppliers did not deliver the same quality.

When a sufficient percentage of American consumers stop purchasing Chinese products and shift to American products what you seek will happen. At this point that hasn’t happened yet.

The "victory garden" is going to be a lot bigger next year. I'll probably have some "victory chickens" and "victory goats", too.
I needed a hobby anyway.

Tonight my 10 yr old discovered that the box of Capri Sun we bought for a party was “Made in China”. He threw out the whole box, and said, “Why on earth would they sell juice from China here?”
I will read the labels on EVERYTHING now!

Capri Sun What? That is popular drink around here. I am off to the pantry.
To: Aggie Mama
Kids must have drank it all. I did find some SunnyD, it says Distr By.... but not Made In..... I then look at other foods and notice Distr By ....on most all of the products. We don’t know where most of this stuff is Made In buy only who shipped it.
