Justice Dept. accused of impeding CAIR
DALLAS, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. Justice Department has been accused by the Council on American-Islamic Relations of impeding its operations through a Texas court case.
In a brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, CAIR said that being named by the Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror case has hurt its regular operations, The Washington Times said Wednesday.
"The public naming of CAIR as an unindicted co-conspirator has impeded its ability to collect donations as possible donors either do not want to give to them because they think they are a 'terrorist' organization or are too scared to give to them because of the possible legal ramifications of donating money to a 'terrorist' organization," the group said.
The Dallas court case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development has included alleged ties to terrorist groups and CAIR is among 307 named co-conspirators.
The group has asked that its name be removed from the list and the organization's attorney has said the court could approve the motion without holding an official hearing, the Times reported.
I wonder if the Saudis will intervene, and make this go away?
Yeah, all you have to do is p!ss off the DOJ and you can end up being burned to death in your “compound”/home by gov’t tanks with flamethowers or shot to death by gov’t. snipers. All without **any** negative ramifications on the gov’t JBT’s.
Better watch out whose chain you yank at the DOJ.
Don’t forget the Lawyers Guild and the ACLU...
Good.
You can look up “unindicted co-conspirator” in the dictionary and find Ibrahim Hooper’s picture right next to Richard Nixon’s. ;)
