Actually, Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter became cosponsors of the “Secure Fence Act of 2006” (H.R. 6061) on the very same day, September 13, 2006. In fact, both becase cosponsors of the bill on the very day that it was introduced by Rep. Peter King. I believe both were equally committed to passage of the bill.

Here is a link to the list of cosponsors: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d109:HR06061:@@@P.

The second sentence of paragraph one of post nubmer 127 should have read as follows: “In fact, both became cosponsors of the bill on the very day that it was introduced by Rep. Peter King”. I had a typo with the word “became”.

Hunter got it all started during BJ Clinton’s term:

“I am pleased that my colleagues voted to replicate the success of the San Diego border fence and bring this much needed element of security to our Southern border,” said Congressman Hunter. “Before Congress mandated the construction of the San Diego Border Fence in 1996, San Diego County possessed one of the most prolific drug smuggling corridors in the United States.”

I’ve been aware of Rep. Hunter’s role with regard to the San Diego border fence. My point was that Rep. Tancredo was equally as committed to the “Secure Fence Act of 2006” as Rep. Hunter since both became cosponsors of Rep. King’s bill on the same day.

Obviously, you will be voting for Rep. Hunter and I will be voting for Rep. Tancredo.

Illegal immigration is the most important issue to me when I vote and my mind was frankly made up as early as 2004 that if Rep. Tancredo ran for president in 2008, I would vote for him.

Realistically, neither of them are going to be the nominee. I believe Gov. Romney will be the nominee. Of course, it could end up a lot worse. Rudy or McCain could be the nominee. I believe McCain is toast, though.

I’ve had this tagline for over 2.5 years.

Everytime I want to change it, they go and do something so stupid so that I can’t.

It will ever be thus...;o)

I’m proud of you, and your service.
Thank you ever so much.

Hunter with Tancredo is a ticket I’d support, unlike any of the other “annointed” candidates you mentioned as they are all pro-amnesty, pro-open border, RINOs.

You gave me a link to a bill that Rep. Peter King authored.

I meant the double fence that Hunter authored, which is an 854 mile double fence and Hunter wants border patrol in between.

I like both Hunter and Tancredo, but Hunter is more effective, and gets the China threat, and I feel that Hunter has one of the highest commitments for the life issue, because he authored the personhood-at-conception bill and attended the pro-life march in D.C.. ( btw, Brownback also has one of the highest commitments for the life issue, but I don’t agree with him on some other things.)

Tancredo and the majority of presidential candidates are also pro-life.

Pete King is a great guy, too, btw.

The bill signed into law by President Bush, the “Secure Fence Act of 2006” was sponsored by Rep. Peter King. In the House, its bill number was H.R. 6061. Rep. Tancredo and Rep. Hunter were only cosponsors of the bill. They both became cosponsors of the bill on the very same day, September 13, 2006, that the bill was introduced.

The fact that both Tancredo and Hunter became cosponsors of the bill on the very same day demonstrates that both had an equally high commitment to its passage.

Besides the illegal immigration issue, another reason for me to support Rep. Tancredo is that he has achieved a score of “100%” from the National Right to Life Committee for the 106th, 107th, 109th and the ongoing 110th Congress.

I would hope that you would not support Sen. Brownback in light of the fact that he supports amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. In my opinion, he has run by far the sleaziest campaign thus far of any GOP presidential candidate.

There must be more to this, friend. Perhaps another bill?

Everyone calls the fence Duncan Hunter’s fence, including the host on the “Truckin’ Bozo” show.

I agree that Tancredo is pro-life; in fact, probably one of the top 5 on the life issue of all the presidential candidates.

The majority of the GOP presidential candidates have perfect (or near perfect pro-life voting records), but I feel that Senator Sam Brownback and Congressman Duncan Hunter have the highest commitment to the pro-life cause, from conception to natural death.

While listening on EWTN radio, I heard both Sam Brownback and Duncan Hunter speak at the pro-life rally in Washington, D.C., and they were the only two presidential candidates. Of course, some of the others might have had conflicts that day.

And year after year, Duncan Hunter has tried to get legislation passed with the bill he authored, the personhood-at-conception bill that has over 100 co-sponsors, which would define personhood as moment of conception, so, it would allow us to have a reversal of the effects of Roe v. Wade without a constitutional amendment.

Sam Brownback is constantly a loud and frequent voice for preborn and disabled voiceless persons.

But don’t worry, I am definitely not supporting Brownback, but in discussing the life issue, I just wanted to be fair.
