The scientists report using a novel genetic technique and old-fashioned statistics to identify Israeli acute paralysis virus as the latest potential culprit.... Wait for it...wait for it...here it comes...from the small minds of moonbats and moon-worshippers everywhere: "Ahah! I knew it - its those damned JOOOOOOS again."

Scientists previously have found blasting emptied hives with radiation apparently kills whatever infectious agent that causes the disorder. If this was 1957, there'd be a really crappy film out about 50-foot bees next week, produced for about $122.87.

You’d think somebody would have learned from the African bee importation problems (yes, I know the killer-bee movies were junk). Guess not.

To: MaxMax
Of course, it’s because of Global Warming that the virus survives long enough to kill off so many hives.
To: decimon
Ah, so the honey bees are stressed.

I’ve heard of a number of causes. Cellphones, Merit (sp?) the stuff that kills grubs in Scott’s fertilizers & now a virus. I guess they really don’t know what the cause is for sure. I must admit that the virus seems the most plausible.
