I must apologize that my FR nickname is really my initials. I didn’t even consider the confusion that it would cause and am actually embarrassed about that confusion. I certainly mean no disrespect to the best soldiers around....
I did serve in the Army and later in the USAR, however I only made it to SPC.

You can imagine how much trouble it caused me in BT. Every time I had to initial for something I got in trouble for being a smart alec....
It did make the PT test easier.

Thanks! I’ve never lived in a military town before. I’m told it will be very quiet around here when the troops deploy. They will be missed.

That must have been fun. You have to remember that God and Command Sergeants Major are considered to be equals.

It seems like they just got back, I spent several hours with a group of them in the Phila. airport in June of ‘06, on their way home. I always have a soft spot for my fellow Screaming Eagles, my outfit in Vietnam ‘69-’70.

My brother in law is among them. He still hasn’t seen his new niece, my daughter so I pray he comes back soon. I sure am thankful there are men still willing to serve.

I heard that. I was lucky enough to work in a Brigade HQ at Ft. Lewis and worked for a couple of really good Sergeant Majors. I learned a ton from them and have the ultimate respect for the old, enlisted, grizzled combat vets....
