Howdy, Primetimedonna! How are you doing?
I don’t think we’re losing him, dina, neither is the President. He said he’ll be writing, speaking, and probably a bit of broadcasting.
He’ll be able to speak more forcefully if he’s not on the White House payroll.
He can also hang with us. :-)
Hi PTD. Word is that this is Tony’s last televised presser. Glad you could make it.
Yes, indeed, FFV! :-)
He mentioned on Don & Roma (WLS) early this morning that he’ll be off tomorrow since the President has a conference and that he has been typically taking Fridays off. He’s taking a week off to go to Georgia for some R&R and then hitting the public speaking circuit.
Yeah, you are better portrayed by Dana!
He’s declining to make any comment on what’s happening in Russia. :-/
LOL That is kinder to me, but Dana deserves much better.
There’s too much new information, pinz. Plus any of the real negotiating is where we don’t see it, which makes it much more effective.
You bet.
Maybe he’ll be everyones favorite substitute talk show host.
We’ll be counting on your Tony Detector, Dina!
Tony is getting PISSED
Badgering Tony about if you don’t declare a date to withdraw then its an “open ended war”.
Tony: I give up.
Yikes!
Some crack to April about “all those white guys”.
But I missed the punch line.
Tony finally gets one reporter to admit there is some improvement on the ground since the Surge!
April, addresses Tony by the wrong name! T-O-N-Y April. 8)
I would too.
They are transmitting, but they are not receiving.
New Meme: if you draw down the surge then its evidence of defeat.
Everyone has an inner blonde, FOX.
some reporter named BIll was going on and on with his questions so April asked Bill if he was finished.. he said yes, then she called Tony .. Bill... So Tony, said just another white guy right????
Allows my mind to jump to scary conclusions.
I hate being realistic, sometimes. ;-)
Pays $400,000 a year. Should help Tony a little bit and be great for us.
Pres. Tony Snow. Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it.
8)
:-) I understand, pinz!
LOL
I think that Tony can get much better pay in the dreaded private sector. And he can have a fun job too.
We’ll have to form a private employment firm for him, so he’ll make good money and have time to come out and play.
Lester: (yelling) Tony wait a minute
Les, Code Pink, Tony’s sarcasm. My side hurts! LOL
[Ready the riot police!]
Lester: The people up front got six or seven questions.
Tony: They also asked questions that I give a rip about.
Tony will be missed by me. He is not letting these slimes yell stupid questions. His fuse is short!!
Tell us where and when!
Goyal: We will really miss you.
Awww.
pinz, LOL
LOL
> Lester goes ballistic
Dear Lester,
Don’t try that with Dana. You might leave walking funny.
Tony’s itching to get out of there.
He’s ready to get on with the rest of it already.
Wow, the backbenchers are from the school of Bad Manners.
You forgot all of the none traditional sources of income that Clinton opened up...renting out the Lincoln bedroom, selling pardons, etc. The possibilities are endless for an entrepreneur. 8)
Howdy Save! we’re going to have to find a place to meet after Friday!!
Helen is the Headmistress.
Good to see everybody, but it is a sad day.....we need to have a new Snowflake meeting place! ;>)
Connie: Ask the President to call on some of us long servering reporters who don’t get called on anymore.
Tony: Long serving are self serving.
The newest one is the best; Hsu borrowed $40 million from a former Woodstock guy for a Chinese enterprise, there was no business, clearly Hsu gave the loan money to Clinton et al and made Woodstock guy pay for it; now Lord H. owes favors to PRC and they didn’t pay a dime.
Tonys itching to get out of there.
Hes ready to get on with the rest of it already
I think the fleas are bothering him.... don’t blame him one iota. Thank you Tony for your service to our country.
We do, Primetimedonna! I am sure that we will figure something out.
Briefing over.
Snif. Snif.
For those not watching, Tony looked great. Vigorous!
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And auld lang syne?
Chorus
For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne.
We'll tak' a cup o'kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
And surely ye'll be your pint-stoup
And surely I'll be mine;
And we'll tak' a cup of kindness yet,
For auld lang syne,
For auld lang syne, my jo, etc.
We twa hae run about the braes,
And pou'd the gowans fine;
But we've wander'd mony a weary fit,
Sin' auld lang syne.
For auld lang syne, my jo, etc.
We twa hae paidl'd in the burn
Frae morning sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roared',
Sin' auld lang syne,
For auld lang syne, my jo, etc.
And there's a hand, my trusty frier!
And gie's a hand o'thine!
And we'll tak' a right guide-willie waught,
For auld lang syne.
For auld lang syne, my jo, etc.
Translation:
Should we forget our former friends
By whom we set great store?
Should we forget the friends we've met
And the brave days of yore?
Chorus
The days of yore, my dear,
The days of yore,
We'll tilt the jug and drain the mug
to the brave days of yore.
I fancy you could sink a pint
And I'll take rather more
And we'll both get tight with all our might
For the brave days of yore.
The days of yore, my dear, etc.
We two have wandered on the hills
And daisies pulled galore
But we've tired our feet on many a street
Since the brave days of yore.
The days of yore, my dear, etc.
We two have paddled in the brook
From noon to half-past four
But seas have lain betwixt us twain
Since the brave days of yore.
The days of yore, my dear, etc.
So let us grasp each other's hand
And, as I said before
Our hearts we'll cheer with honest beer
For the brave days of yore.
The days of yore, my dear, etc.
Now that is the source of a scary movie.
