The Real Bush Record (Dick Cheney Responds to Greenspan in Op-Ed)

Credit should be given to congressman Bill Thomas who authored the only effective tax cut. W's Keynesian tax cuts didn't work.

I like Dick Cheney...I wouldn’t go hunting with him but I like him. LOL And as many know; I supported him for POTUS for 2008 but when he says “my longtime friend Alan Greenspan...I’ve known and admired Alan for years, and I believe he was a great chairman of the Federal Reserve Board”; I have to wonder about his judgment.

Greenspam inherited one of the strongest economies in American history with historic low interest rates in 1987 and within two years, Greenspam put us in a Recession with double digit interest rates. And after stabbing GWB and the Bush administration in the back in his book; I don’t know how Cheney can say that Greenspam was a “great chairman of the Federal Reserve Board” and/or that Kermit is a friend!

Bush the First said “If I had known he was going to raise interest rates, I wouldn’t have reappointed him.” And because Greenspam continued to raise interest rates to curb a nonexistent coming inflation; he helped to prevent the first Bush from being reelected and the election of Bill Clinton. Too bad the son didn't learn from the father's mistakes.

With "friends" like Kermit the Frog Greenspam, who needs enemies! No, Mr. Cheney, Greenspam is no friend and definitely not one of the "great chairman of the Federal Reserve." Greenspam is a Benedict Arnold. And between Bush's assessment of Putin and Greenspam; I hope the next POTUS is a better judge of character than the present.
