Poll on MSNBC? Who thinks the outcome will reflect ANYTHING but the looney Left's support of the Looney Democrat House? (Who else is in their viewership?)

Of course it’s a stupid poll. Bringing up the resolution at this point in time is just another diabolical RAT maneuver to undermine the war.

I love Rush but he’s wrong here. If this isn’t genocide I don’t what is.

It is a shame to see someone promoting indifference of the Armenian Genocide, and see more value in alliance with an Islamofascist instead of human rights. It has been a tradition for our country to promote human rights. This is also an assault on the innocent Armenians, as well as Armenian Americans. If Turkey admits the genocide everything would be fine. It is Turkey to compromise, not us. Armenia is the first official Christian country. Why are we betraying our Christian brothers, and allied with Islamofascist Turkey on this issue?

I think your take on this is precisely right and I salute you for it. I don’t advocate Turkey get a free pass on this, but I do have mixed emotions. You know, Turkey could turn right around and demand we confess our sins regarding our treatment of the indian tribles in the U.S. Where does this end?

I by no means discount Armenian losses. Any loss of life is a terrible thing, and when you ancestors are involved, it’s personal, so my thoughts do go out to those who lost family.

Thanks for your comments.

Lets point out, We issued two resolutions on this subject back in thee 70s and 80s. Been there done that. THERE IS NO REASON TO ISSUE ONE MORE Resolution except to drive a key ally and her key strategic assistance in Our time of need. It’s a Demorat Treasonous Act to cause defeat in Iraq and the Middle East!

Armenian Genocide was a Muslim Jihad against Christians and Jews

All of that is beside the point. The ‘RATS deliberately put Republicans in a position to be damned if they do and damned if they don’t regardless of how they vote. It’s just another RAT trick.

Yes, Turkey is always important.

Let’s piss them off when we don’t depend on them for various military or logisitical purposes that if successfully maintained will make it less likely that my relatives in the military will come home dead because of a chaotic situation with the Kurds up north, or because operations out of their facilities have been curtailed and we can’t get an airstrike on insurgents firing on our men.

I am an AMERICAN not an ARMENIAN. I am willing to forgo a bit of cultural revenge to keep our men safer, no matter how insignificant it seems.

And we all know the Armenians never forget, so it isn’t as if it will NEVER get done if we don’t do it now.

I think it is only natural to want people called on their treachery. Look at my comments just about any time the name Ted Kennedy comes up. I will never forget Mary Jo, and how that bastard got a free pass.

I know where you are coming from, and some of my thoughts are pretty close to yours. Where we differ is more a matter of timing than anything else.

I will say though in concluding, our past isn’t exactly pristine. Should we make public confessions a matter of our daily life as well? What happens when Turkey calls us on that?

Thank you! Those were the exact points Rush made today. This is not about “genocide”, it’s about trying to drive our allies away and undermining the war effort.

There is NOTHING more despicable than a low-life ‘RAT.

Why would we do that? PBS and just about all eurotrash tv broadcasting does that for us on a very regular basis.

We’re Americans, we’re evil. Everyone says so. We got used to it.

As Rush stated today, this is a blatant attempt by the Democrats to upset Turkey, which is a vital ally in the WOT and the conflict in Iraq.

This same resolution has already been passed, more than once, the last time in 1986.

The Democrats are desperate for the US to lose in Iraq. This is the ONLY motivation they have in this matter.a

Another poster has pointed out, that we did pass resolutions more than twenty years ago on this very subject. Let’s forget that for a moment.

Where did I say that Turkey is right and the Armenians are wrong? I haven’t seen anyone make that case, so why do you seem convinced that’s what we’re advocating?

Last but not least, if we’re going down this road, should we appologize to the world for our treatment of the indians and involvement in slavery?

Can’t you see the brazen caloused nature of what the Democrats are doing here? Do you really think this is about Turkey’s past actions?

I disagree with you on this.

I have heard the stories from my grandfather, who got them firsthand from his mother and father whom I had never met.

They are horrible and gruesome. People being butchered and thrown into wells and so on. Priests and nuns being hacked to bits in front of their churches.

But my PRIME concern is the success of our mission in Iraq, and the welfare of our military personnel fighting there.

This not only does NOT help in any way, it may actually cause the deaths of our troops by causing a degradation of our capabilities at Incirlik, just to name one.

The crimes were done by agents of the Ottoman Empire, but this bill is a direct attempt at stopping the supply line to our troops.
