Zogby Poll: Half Say They Would Never Vote for Hillary Clinton for President
Zogby ^ | October 20, 2007

Posted on 10/20/2007 11:22:06 AM PDT by keepitreal

While she is winning wide support in nationwide samples among Democrats in the race for their party’s presidential nomination, half of likely voters nationwide said they would never vote for New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, a new Zogby Interactive poll shows.

The online survey of 9,718 likely voters nationwide showed that 50% said Clinton would never get their presidential vote. This is up from 46% who said they could never vote for Clinton in a Zogby International telephone survey conducted in early March. Older voters are most resistant to Clinton – 59% of those age 65 and older said they would never vote for the New York senator, but she is much more acceptable to younger voters: 42% of those age 18–29 said they would never vote for Clinton for President.

How many dead people did they interview?

The cheating at the polls has grown every election cycle, and I hate to think what it will be like in 2008.

I understand that Dead, insane, felonious, and illegal alien voters favor hillary by 99%.

Hard to win when 50% of the voters will NEVER vote for you!

Unless the GOP is stupid and selects someone like Rudy and a third party candidate who is a real conservative runs.

I believe there's a fair amount of the public who normally does not vote, but dislike her strongly enough to the point where they will make the effort

I hope you are right. Cold fact: MOST of those eligible to vote do NOT do so! The figures on those who vote are always of registered voters, about half of whom can be reasonably expected to turn out.

However, there are many potential voters who are unregistered. They are not even on the radar. That is precisely why the Democrats are always running registration drives. Of course, they are not particular about whom they register. They also register many who don't know they are registered, because they are dead, or illegals, or completely non-existent figments of Donna Brazile's computer.

Fraud carried 5 big states for both Kerry and Gore. Hillary, with more money and slicker machine can beat that.

Um... where you been, my friend?

In 1992, 57% of the electorate did NOT vote for Bill Clinton - yet he won anyway, with 43% of the popular vote.

Well, Democratic party strategists figure that Hillary has the support of women (51% of population), minorities (30% of population), gays (2% of population), trial lawyers (75% of pop) and civil servants (25%). That adds up to 183 percent of the voting population.

“Stand up and fight her by standing for family and the security of the US, otherwise you will lose to a nanny state liberal whether there is a D or an R before their name.”

That may be in fact the choice voters are given no matter what men left in the US stand up and do.

However, the ruthlessness of a HRC administration in repressing, punishing, and intimidating domestic opposition would be exponentially higher than any other candidate.

We'll have to politically eviscerate the 3rd party candidate when he breaks from the Republican race and announces himself as an alternative to the Republican candidate.

The verbal onslaught will need to be devastating. Something the rats would be proud of.

Otherwise, the "Hillary plan" will work and she'll get elected.

"Hard to win when 50% of the voters will NEVER vote for you!"

How that 50 percent of voters is distributed over the 50 states makes a huge difference in how truly significant this poll result is. If they are bunched up heavily in states that Hillary is not going to win anyway, then she could still win, easily, especially with voter fraud in urban areas in high-electoral vote states.

If Zogby were to report that they were unable to find anyone anywhere that would even consider voting for Hillary, I would still bet she would end up with as many votes as Kerry received.

There will be nothing held back by the Dems in this next election. The last 2 were just practice, the boss of bosses is running this time.

Wanting Hillary to win the nomination, just to beat her in the general, is like grabbing onto a 10,000 volt live wire.

I still remember not being particularly concerned with the Sink Emperor when I first saw him move up in the polls. Then as I learned what a lying sack he was, not to mention all the other stuff we were only learning just before the election, I figured there is no way this guy stands a chance.

Since then I have learned that it is better that Hillary not even get the nomination, rather than chance her clawing her way to power.

Zogby normally oversamples Demos by quite a bit and her negatives could be quite a bit higher than this poll shows.

18 to 29 years old is an interesting band of voters because they tend to not vote. Her negatives are still climbing and if the sample was representative of the voters in general I would not be surprised to “never vote for Hillary” to be as high as 56%.

You mean a Supreme Court with seven Ruth Buzzi Ginsburgs?

This is the most important issue in the next presidential election. Stevens is 87. Scalia, Kennedy, and Ginsburg are all over 70. Souter and Breyer will be over 70 by the time the next president is sworn in.

Whoever is elected president in 2008 will get to fill at least 2 and maybe 3 seats.

President Hillary? Be afraid. Be very afraid.

You haven't told me anything that I haven't heard a dozen times over the past couple of months. At least try to be original when attempting to express righteous indignation. I take it that I insulted your "boy". So which one was it?...Giuliani, or Romney? I'm betting it's ole Willard...my lifelong hunting buddy and lifetime NRA member! :-) Truly, I have no idea. Something I wrote raised your ire though. After a brief look at your postings, I know why you're mad now. Oh well...it's not plausible for me to go through every FreeRepublic memebers' postings in advance to see who I'm going to aggravate. It certainly wasn't personal, which is more than can be said about your reply to me.

So I'm going to help the traitor party to win eh? You could view it that way if you want, but the same can be said of you. You choose. We choose. But too many will choose the lesser of two evils out of fear. We'll choose because it's a right and correct thing to do...even knowing that people like you have "thrown" the election. But as I said, we don't fear, which is a "plus" when with dealing people who are driven by it. With no fear, we have a clarity of vision which is lacked by those who are driven by the fear of Hillary becoming President.

It really grates my nerves lately listening to various conservative talk radio shows (most of which I'm a great fan of). The hosts do a lot of fear mongering and focus on how bad it's going to be if Hillary becomes President (and they are correct!). Then they split hairs on the dog by choosing the best of the worst from the dismal GOP top picks.... but hey, they're better than Hillary right?

The sad truth is that they are NOT better than Hillary. But for a person to realize this, they're left in a lurch with no real viable solution...at least according to the omnipotent, and all knowing GOP. ...and we MUST follow the GOP pick! Because if we don't, then Hillary will win! It's a difficult thing to come to terms with. Your comments to me are proof enough that people are having difficulty with it.

What is it with the RINO insult? You tell me. Were you insulted by it? Did I direct it at you? I don't t-h-i-n-k so.

Since you took the time express your opinion, here's more of mine. Before anybody complains to me directly, if you don't like the "Giuliani - Hitler 08" graphic, then just tell the admin mods. They're charged with keeping the peace around here.

I respectfully disagree . She doesn’t need Obama . She will easily carry Illinois as well as the black vote . It would also be too radical of a ticket .

She will pick a white male most likely from a Red state in an attempt to pick off a Red state for the win .

Barry O’Bama knows it’s over , and will be a good boy for a run in the future , or placement in a Hillary administration .

I think HH is just one of many that are fed up with having to vote for the lesser of two evils presented to us time and time again.........

Isn’t anyone short of Mr Hunter IMO in this race that has a record of facts proving the best conservative record to the best of my limited research (still learning of course) . Election promises are just that words. Giuliani, Romney, McCain, Thompson all have records as well.....theirs are IMHO tainted.

The GOP hands the reins to Rudy or Mitch the DNC gets a freebie IMHO.....

Lesser than of two evils is not an option for my vote ever again. I suspect Hiredhand’s opinion is such as well.......

Stay safe ....Hope yer well !

You people who keep harping on that one subject crack me up. The media WILL NEVER LET THE PUBLIC AT LARGE HEAR what we already know. She (and Bill) have hired all sorts of voice coaches, and they are VERY careful this time. There’s no doubt in my mind she’s even had (or is taking) anger management classes. Don’t you think the two who own the cRATic party are smart enough to know their own weaknesses? Or hasn’t anyone here noticed she’s only been caught screeching once or twice since she announced what we already knew since 2000? Forget it.
