Here’s an interactive picture of Castle Kashan that I posted on the other thread: (before it burned - check the surrounding area)

It appears two or three buildings at the castle survived...!!

Oh I know. I hesitated to even mention it. The “poor” people near Rt. 126 aren’t as important as the Malibu Colony residents. ;)

I just heard on KFI that Malibu is now asking all residents to evacuate.

Same when you visit Santa Barbara. You look out over the Pacific and you’re looking straight south. It’s very disorienting.

I’m glad I was wrong about the waterdrop units flying, but I’m surprised. Are they built for this in a different way?

That’s great news!

Sustained wind in the high desert is now up to 26+ mph out of the northeast.

What a beautiful location, thanks yorkie, although surrounded by brush, eh? I wish I had visited there...

Funny thing, I was talking with a couple of friends re going up to the S.M. Mtns today.

Although, as I rode through the mountain (Sepulveda) pass yesterday, I noted how dry all the hillsides are....

I am 12-15 miles away, SE Mom, thanks for asking...:)
Thought I smelled smoke but must have imagined it.
I am also east and south of the fire, not in the wind path.

We didn’t rejoice at the bridge collapse in MN; why do you rejoice at a fire here?

Burn, Baby, Burn!

I would guess such a comment would come from you. Very predictable.

Hey hang tight, maybe some firefighters will be killed, maybe a few more homes burned...

Yaelle, Marta Waller on KTLA was also saying a few minutes there is a great deal of livestock, horses, pets, etc. in the area.... It’s always like this. Some will not leave without their animals.

Gives me the heebie-jeebies as I recall 1993.
