`(7) Individuals prone to violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence span all races, ethnicities, and religious beliefs, and individuals should not be targeted based solely on race, ethnicity, or religion.

Well that narrows the suspect group down to just EVERY PERSON IN THE US AND ITS TERRITORIES.

Could this be used to shutdown Free Republic?

Worst case, yes, by regulating content and taxing.

While off topic, Talk Radio (Rush) and militias were falsely accused by B.J. Clintoon of responsibility for the Oklahoma City bombing, using the same failed logic: "hate" radio radicalized Nichols and McVeigh.

A DAMNED lie designed to destroy conservative talk radio. You see the parallel.

I’m new here so please correct me as necessary.

I suspect HR1955 is one of the most liberty-killing concepts ever passed by the House.

The vote was
404 ayes: 319(D) 185(R)
6 nays: 3(D) 3(R)
22 not voting: 10(D) 12(R)

Note that virtually every Democrat AND Republican voted FOR this fascist (Republicrat) bill.

How are the Republicans more freedom-loving than the Democrats? It seems both parties have the same goals—only their timetables differ.

I haven’t found any more information on HR1955.

Is the Senate actually considering passing this abomination?
Is there more info on Free Republic about this bill?
