No longer will G.I. Joe be a U.S. Special Forces soldier, the "Real American Hero" who, in his glory days, single-handedly won World War II.

Paramount has confirmed that in the movie, the name G.I. Joe will become an acronym for "Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity" — an international, coed task force charged with defeating bad guys. It will no longer stand for government issued, as in issued by the American government.

Everybody, everybody, knows that vampires recoil at the sight of a cross.

At some time in the last thirty years, it mutated into "well, it is your belief in the cross that they recoil from" and then into a cross has no effect at all on a vampire. When Hollywood changed that, I washed my hands of them. Frank Capra is dead.

If they keep Cap in WWII fighting uncle Adolph and the boyzz, it might be a good movie, but if they try and bring him into the present, they will conceivably cheese off half of the viewing public...NOT a good idea for a potential movie.

And people wonder why I never go to the movies, and never watch TV.
I saw this trend after that recent Pearl Harbor movie changed it from a, “Sneak Attack,” to a, “Suprise Attack.”

Last movie I’ve seen was on a DVD, and I got it because I’d read that the producers received complete cooperation and assistance from the US military during filming.

That movie was: Transformers.

I found myself so taken with it that I downloaded a few tracks from the score. Scorponok, SOCCENT Attack, and Decepticons. They’ve got some great percussion to them.

I hope your family is doing well.

doing great.

However, Transformers should have had far more LFE than it did. You would think with giant robots walking around they could have thrown in some kick ass LFE when their feet hit the ground. There was hardly anything there. That I was disappointed in.

Yeah, I know.

And Lex Luthor didn’t start out as an eeeeeeeeevil corporate bastard.

The original Lex was a scientist.

I hear you.

I’m about ready to start leveraging my home theater system a lot more frequently so as to not give any more money to this propaganda.

Same here. I refuse to see the recent superman movie, now this too will likely be on my list unless something changes.

Now I’m wondering what they’re going to screw with for the new captain america movie slated for 2009.
