"Al Qaeda Is Being Slaughtered"
http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives2/2007/11/018915.php ^

That was the verdict of Michael Yon on Hugh Hewitt's radio show tonight. He was talking about the linked post:

“Al Qaeda in Iraq is defeated,” according to Sheik Omar Jabouri, spokesman for the Iraqi Islamic Party and a member of the widespread and influential Jabouri Tribe. Speaking through an interpreter at a 31 October meeting at the Iraqi Islamic Party headquarters in downtown Baghdad, Sheik Omar said that al Qaeda had been “defeated mentally, and therefore is defeated physically,” referring to how clear it has become that the terrorist group’s tactics have backfired. Operatives who could once disappear back into the crowd after committing an increasingly atrocious attack no longer find safe haven among the Iraqis who live in the southern part of Baghdad. They are being hunted down and killed. Or, if they are lucky, captured by Americans.

Yon described the progress he is currently seeing in Iraq as "unbelievable." Let's hope it continues.

Meanwhile, according to Drudge, Pelosi is still peddling the line that “Iraq is a failure”.

"...Iraq was one of Al Qaeda’s big hopes. Looks like Iraq is now lost to them and they must move on to other territory..."

Iraq WAS A-Qs only chance after Afghanistan was lost and Libya tossed in the towel.

"...The Tribal areas in Pakistan are their last bastion. The news there is not the greatest of late.
But defeating terrorist organizations requires that safe havens be taken away. If the Tribal areas in Pakistan is their last stand, then I say we are closer to winning the war on terror than ever..."

Waziristan, North and South, the so-called 'Tribal-Areas', is possibly the most vermin-infested place on earth, even worse than the West Bank or Gaza. It may well be a last stand for A-Q in more ways than one.

The muzzies threw all they had into Iraq to defeat the continued USA presence there - most of their best and well-trained fighters plus most of their equipment from all over the world. They've all but lost Iraq completely, and Iran is about to be next, and they know it.

Saudi Arabia (wahabbis) is the largest financier of muzzie-terrorism in the world, and they're about to lose all their surrogate states that did their dirty work for them while they pretended to be 'friends' of the USA. The Saudi Royal Family may well flee their country when Iran is dispatched.

Al Qaeda is a shadow of its' former self, and whoever is left will be hunted like rabid dogs in Waziristan after Iran and Syria are ruined. The coming conflict will eliminate Hizbollah, too, and there will be no place left to run to except the bowels that are Waziristan.

It's fitting that they die there ........................... FRegards

Weekend of November 8th or December 7th

“According to Sheik Omar, the Jabouri tribe, too, is actively committed to destroying al Qaeda. So much so, that Jabouri tribal leaders have decided they would “kill their own sons” if any aided al Qaeda.

To underscore the point, he went on to say that about 70 Jabouri “sons” had been killed by the Jabouri tribe so far.”

This is actually the best part of this story as it means that the Iraqi’s on both a persoanl and political level are finally engaging in their own fight for freedom.

God bless their efforts

“We need to get the word out. The WH has to speak out more forcefully. This war is too important to be lost to the media deceivers.”

This administration has been very weak in communicating facts to our citizens, about this war. Bush is in charge, so I guess he is where the buck stops.

Since he is shall we say inconsistent as a communicator, he could (and should) delegate to others.

We’ll only know that Al Qaeda has been defeated when Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid show up wearing black arm bands.

Incorrect.

We’ll only know that Al Qaeda has been defeated when Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid show up to take credit for it.

Late in 2006, after 6 long, dark years of GOP rule, the power-starved Democrats and their media allies thought they could see light at the end of the tunnel.

Turns out it is an oncoming train, the victory train in Iraq, and it is gathering steam.

Hillary reacts to the news:

Yon is literally the only American that is getting THE TRUTH out of Iraq...

And, the only place it gets disseminated is the Internet, through Conservative bloggers.

Iraq was one of Al Qaeda’s big hopes.

We did what we could to give them hope by appearing weak and we drew them into Iraq to mop them up. It's all in Sun Tzu. Rummy rules.

Yon described the progress he is currently seeing in Iraq as "unbelievable."

And "amazing," "awe-inspiring," and a host of other such terms.

I've been saying it for a while now....it's getting very quiet around here.

Well, except for all of those construction noises. And those noises are the sound of freedom.

I beg your pardon. Read my posting history over the last three-plus years. ;-)

And I've caught hell for it from some of the doom-and-gloom FReepers on here. For some mysterious reason, I don't see them around anymore. LOL

Woo Hoo I like that last part. They should be so lucky to be captured by Americans....that aught to tell the liberal MSM that Americans aren't the bad guys.

Hey Star, I'm well thank you. I'm sitting here in dusty, rocky Kabul. Working with the ANA to set up their air corps. Exciting work if you can get it, and very rewarding.

Nice job by the Navy. When did N. Korea become our friends again? hehehehe
