WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama, the only black candidate for president, accused rival Hillary Clinton on Friday of hiding behind her gender after she was pummelled in a debate with six male candidates.
"I am assuming and I hope that Sen. Clinton wants to be treated like everybody else," the Illinois senator said in an interview with NBC's "Today Show."

Exactly. I hate how the media is compelled to point out the blindingly obvious. As though we’ve somehow forgotten that hill (allegedly) is female or obama is black. To most of us, those things just don’t matter. I think they do it just to continue to emphasize to all us poor, ignorant folks that these “qualifications” matter.
No kidding. They both should understand something. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
I predict that hillary will blurt out the "n" word in public the next few weeks. She is too unstable to be the leader of this country.

If Obama wanted to play the race card, there it is. I'd like to see the press tie themselves in knots, trying to explain how Hillary misspoke and didn't mean anything racist.

Rush says that the Drive-Bys are not happy...Mrs. Clinton doesn’t have the talent to lie like Bubba. She’s not going to get away with this hedging for the next 13 months. Rush says that the bloom is off the rose—she just doesn’t have it!

If the media ever truly decides not to provide cover for her...she's toast.
Rush says that right now they are very disappointed in her. However, if she does well in the next debate, he says they will be cheering with—what a comeback!

Has he really been saying that? (”Vote for me to prove you’re not a bigot”?) I suppose I’ve just missed it, it’s not like I go out of my way to listen to Obama, but it had been my impression he was trying to go for the quiet unassuming statesman pose, the few times I’ve seen him talk I didn’t really get the Jackson/Sharpton vibe from him.
