The court in Al-Qatif, Saudi Arabia has ruled that the sentence of 90 lashes handed down a year ago to a Saudi Shi'ite woman who was abducted and gang-raped was insufficient, and that her punishment should be changed to 200 lashes as well as a six-month prison sentence.

China could have a field day invading this country for it's oil and liberating it's women for their surplus male population.
What article did you read? The sentence of 200 lashes and six months prison, upgraded from 90 lashes, wasn't for the rapist it was for the victim of rape. Read it again.
Where are the feminists?

If she was walking around showing anything but her eyes she deserved it! Maybe she was touched by a man not married to her, even worse. I’m sure that the thugs in the middle east can find all kinds of reasons why women should be raped. Of course the law there is on the men’s side.
I am not sure that was what he was addressing; I think he meant that compared to the other sentences passed out, the rapist got off pretty light - they were allowed to live.
I would not want to face God in the afterlife, having committed such an atrocity in His name.
Where is the NOW gang on this? Do they get asked for a comment by anyone? Or is it just common knowledge that they’re irrelevant?
